SERKET Racing has just announced a sponsorship deal with Crye Precision that will see the team’s 2012 Porsche GT3 cup car wrapped in MultiCam.

“We are very excited to enter into this relationship with Crye Precision,” said driver and Marine veteran, Mark Llano. “With their commitment to creating high quality tactical gear that keeps our soldiers safe in the field and their dedication to the veterans’ community, Crye Precision
embodies the very ideals that SERKET Racing was founded on: excellence and dedication. I look forward to working with their team and having a good run in the November 18th Formula One support race in Austin, Texas.”

Started by former Marine Mark Llano, and Randy Webb, the SERKET racing team competes with the goal of raising awareness and assistance for those who have honorably served and sacrificed for our country: military veterans and their families. Veteran owned and operated, SERKET Racing is aware of the obstacles that veterans face upon their return home and teams with numerous local, state and national charities to develop and implement innovative programs to assist these veterans and their families in their time of need.

Gregg Thompson, Crye Precision Director said, “We are incredibly proud to join SERKET Racing and the NGT Motorsport race team in this effort. We’ve worked closely with Mark Llano for years to develop and deliver innovation for the warfighter and couldn’t be more excited to continue this tradition of excellence and integrity. Mark and his team are the ideal ambassadors to spread this message of gratitude to these heroes and we are simply glad to be a part of it.”

New from Raven Concealment Systems – ModuLoader Frames

November 13th, 2012

Raven Concealment Systems has just released details on their new ModuLoader Frames. Part of the ModuLoader series, the new Frames are designed to bridge the gap between daily concealed carry gear and more “tactical” load carriage products like the extremely versatile Taco pouches from High Speed Gear, Inc.

20121113-180415.jpg

Think of them as an adapter that will help you adapt your Tacos and other accessories for use with a standard belt. ModuLoader Frames are available in four sizes and manufactured from the same material that RCS uses for their injection molded belt loops and pancake wings meaning they will provide flexibility for increased comfort.

20121113-180454.jpg

They will also allow four different ride heights and accommodate five different belt loops for a customized fit and will still link and integrate with many existing Raven Concealment products.

They will begin taking orders on Black Friday (23 November), with RCS promising that orders will ship in time to be under the tree Christmas morning.

Like all RCS products, the ModuLoader Frames are proudly designed and manufactured in the USA, and are covered by their unconditional lifetime warranty.

Sneak Peek – Raine R2

November 13th, 2012

20121112-170024.jpg

Manifesting the Raine mindset of LIGHTER FASTER STRONGER, the new R2 combines functionality and scalability into a manageable, 2800 cubic inch pack system. While wheels have not been re-invented in Raine’s first ever ruck sack platform, good sound functional features and modularity were built into this pack to carry your load comfortably and efficiently.

“Running this pack in the field recently allowed me to test some of purpose built features we were driving at in the design phase. At the end of the day, what is it that I need my pack to do for me? The simple answer is to carry a load, carry it comfortably, and allow me to do it in a manner in which I never have to fight the load. This pack carried a pretty hearty load and did it very comfortably thanks to the strategic placement of the shoulder and waist suspension.

This pack will only take so much kit before you have to go to the exterior. The beaver tail feature allows for quite a bit of expandability on the exterior, and was purpose built to accept a helmet up to the size of an ACH…or rain jacket and pants…or MRE’s… or whatever a human can fit. Another point of expandability is that the user can dock his Raine Day Pack onto the R2 with two of our simple ITW G-Hook straps.”
-Will Romes, Raine Inc. Product Development Manager

Look for Raine to unveil this pack, along with a number of other duffels, purpose built specialty packs, load out bags, new belts, navigation platforms, and new armor systems at SHOT Show coming up in January, 2013.

Activision Selects Ghostex Camouflage for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2”

November 13th, 2012

Activision Publishing, Inc, has selected Ghostex camouflage patterns for use in “Call of Duty: Black Ops II.” As you will recall Ghostex is a Hyperstealth/ADS Inc joint venture that has been providing specialized camouflage development and print-on-demand solutions for specialized customers since 2010. A few of the patterns have been released to the public including the Delta-6 pattern seen below which will be included in the game.

20121113-115917.jpg The web has been abuzz with chatter about specialty camouflage patterns that can be unlocked during game play and Ghostex is it. Notice I said patterns with an “S” meaning I’d expect to see additional Ghostex variants show up in the game. www.ghostex.com
