Based on their highly popular Retention Lanyards, the new Well’s Retention Lanyard from 215 Gear provides the user with an increased flexibility not found with other brands.

215 Gear Well's Retention Lanyard

This uniquely designed lanyard allows the end user to vary the overall length of the lanyard using any of the six channels (5 ½ inch length) along the length of the lanyard. At an overall length of 42 1/5 inches, it is perfect for Aircrew and Helo-Sniper Operations. The Well’s Retention Lanyard is designed for sliding onto/girth hitching onto a riggers type belt. The unique nature of this Frog fitting enables the fitting to self close when in contact with an anchor point. This Frog fitting is more compact than a standard carabineer yet provides faster, one handed operation.

The Well’s Retention Lanyard is made with high quality Mil-Spec materials. Coming soon from 215 Gear.

Weapons Retention from 215 Gear

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

The Multi-Mission Weapon Retention from 215 Gear is a new look at the weapons catch.

215 Gear Multi-Mission Weapon Retention

215 Gear’s unique design allows for a low footprint mount on the PALS grid on your armor or vest, rather than the belt mount found on other catches. It also allows for fast access to your weapon after a manual breach or fastrope and the no drag design doesn’t catch on objects if left unfastened, unlike some homemade options, and falls to the rear. It is easily closed by making a sweeping movement with your hand from rear to front which will bring the buckle to your hand. Made from heavy shock cord, the Weapons Retention is mounted to equipment via a aluminum fitting that only takes up one channel of PALS. Made in the USA with Mil-spec materials.

Tactical Visors from 215 Gear

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

215 Gear has just released the first color in their new line of visors. I use the term “tactical” visor pretty loosely but these are the first visors on the market in modern camouflage patterns. In addition to the Desert Digital pattern already for sale, they also plan on releasing Multicam, UCP as well as Coyote. Great for off duty wear, I would expect to see a lot of these in team houses and other deployed locations.

In addition to the unique color scheme, each visor also features a velcro patch on the front to affix your favorite morale patch. 100% Berry Compliant and backed by a lifetime guarantee. Currently available from 215 Gear and Grey Group Training.

Retractable Lanyard, Heavy Duty – Black

The Heavy Duty retractable lanyard is made to specifically for 215 Gear and is intended to support the weight of everything from an M-60 tool to a GPS. The wire extends to 34″ and is fashioned from 1/16” braided stainless steel with a protective coating and the reel extends to 34”. Rather then the split ring found on so many other lanyards, 215 Gear spec’d out a 1/16” thick stainless steel braided wire loop ring with a screw-type closure. This makes less noise and is easier to manipulate when cold or wet. The lanyard features a PALS compatible metal clip to attach to equipment.
