Daniel Defense, Inc. has announced a new partnership with Wolverine Supplies, located in Virden, Manitoba, who will act as the Exclusive Canadian Distributor for Daniel Defense rifles, rails and accessories.
“This newly formed partnership between Daniel Defense and Wolverine Supplies is exciting,” exclaims Daniel Defense VP of Sales & Marketing, Jay Duncan. “This collaborative effort is necessary for growth of the Daniel Defense brand throughout the Canadian provinces and territories.”
Wolverine Supplies will be importing 1000 rifles throughout the 2013 calendar year. Additionally, they will handle all warranty claims and repair for Canadian customers. “We are really looking forward to being responsible for bringing the complete line of Daniel Defense products into Canada,” says John Hipwell, President of Wolverine Supplies. “We have sold their rails since they were first available, and now our new partnership will allow us to stock their full range of Carbines. Pat and myself visited Daniel Defense’s manufacturing facility last year and were extremely impressed with their state of the art production, including very high quality hammer forged barrels. This year is going to prove very interesting.”
At today’s SHOT Show Media Range Day I was one of the first to be able to shoot the new DDM4 Integrally Suppressed Rifle (ISR) from Daniel Defense. With this gun you are essentially getting two Tax Stamps for the price of one; a Suppressor and SBR.
Daniel Defense designed this new carbine to accept the increasingly popular .300 AAC round. They combined a pistol-length gas system with a 10.3″ Cold Hammer Forged barrel that features a permanently mounted 5.7″ suppressor (with removable baffle core) that together, bring the overall barrel length to just over 16″. They do this by threading and welding the suppressor to the gas block. The gas block is then in turn, mounted with a spiral roll pin and welded in place to the barrel.
Shooting was smooth and quiet. What more can I say, I only got to shoot 20 rounds through it. Hopefully, I will be spending more time with one in the near future. Although I was able to fire a full-auto model, this is obviously not a transferable option. Look for the DDM4 ISR to ship in April in semi-auto.
Tonight is the premier of TAC-TV’s Torture Test II episode where LAV puts the Daniel Defense DDM4v1 through its paces.
Baselining everything off of last year’s show, they did some crazy stuff to that gun and I was on hand to witness it. Sure, it’s beyond mil=spec but Daniel Defense volunteered for it and was willing to live with the consequences whatever they may be. They froze it, shot it, buried it, drug it behind a truck and blew it up. To find out how it fared, make sure to watch TAC-TV tonight for the premier.
Who says people don’t hunt with Black Rifles? Get your 5.56 and .300 Upper Receiver Groups factory direct from Ambush Firearms. Manufactured by Daniel Defense, these are going to be a little different configuration than a standard M4 upper but they still include Cold Hammer Barrels.

Daniel Defense is doing a great job of treading water in this tsunami of panic Black Rifle buying. They just called and told me that they have carbines in stock on their website right now.
Many of the models in stock are DDM4v2 which is a carbine length gun featuring a16″ Cold Hammer Forged M4 profile barrel, Daniel Defense A1.5 Fixed Rear Sight, Daniel Defense Front Site Base, Daniel Defense Flash Suppressor and Magpul buttstock.
It’s important to note that these are their standard prices and they haven’t raised them in spite of the current market. What you are paying for is a quality, mil-spec gun.
UPDATE – In addition to complete rifles, DD also has Upper Receiver Groups and Barrels in stock. Don’t forget their custom rifle program that will deliver a custom carbine in 10-14 days. They only take orders for as many rifles as they can assemble each day so there’s no back order on this program.
Get them while they’re in stock!
