FirstSpear Friday Focus – Self Aid Medical Pocket

Designed for a FS end-user, the Self Aid Medical Pocket is lightweight and compact, featuring a Velcro backed insert with daisy chain for organizing medical supplies. The pocket is constructed from 520E and provides a pass through so the user can access the insert from either side. With 6/9 or 6/12 attachment options it can be mounted to a plate carrier or belt. An adjustable snap secures the insert. Now available in the Non-Stocking Non-Standard section in limited colors and attachment options while supplies last.

FirstSpear Friday Focus – Frog AAC Kit

This week, we’re going to check out the Frog AAC Kit, which I had the chance to check out during this week’s Enforce Tac at the Messe, in Nürnburg, Germany. The Frog kit adapts the Assaulter Armor Carrier for use in a maritime environment.

Standard in the kit are FS Bouyancy Compensators, Adaptive Cummerbund Flotation Elements and a 2″ belly band to secure the front and back panels to the user without having to wear a full cummerbund.

The adaptive cummerbund uses the AAC instant adjust back panel. 6/12 modular sections on the left and right of the front carrier panel allow the user to install the modular pockets of their choice and at the height they need for increased comfort and mobility.

There is also a rebreather harness kit which allows the rebreather to be attached directly to the AAC and easily ditched once free of the surf zone.

FirstSpear Announces The Addition Of Sam White As Vice President – Applied Science

Sam White served as Senior Executive Vice President, Business Development of Point Blank Enterprises, Inc. until June 2016 where he was responsible for all facets of Research & Development, Design & Engineering, while also overseeing new business engagements and technology advancements.

He served on the Executive Leadership Team of Point Blank and was responsible for managing technology relationships with governing bodies and key customer accounts. Sam became the President of Point Blank Body Armor in June 2005 and in September 2006 he assumed the position of Head of Global Sales. He has over 17 years of experience in technology development and product sales with various companies to include Armor Holdings and Allied Signal. Additionally, he was invited by the White House to speak in 2014 and recognized as an industry Champion of Change.

FirstSpear Friday Focus – Multi-Purpose Pack Available As Non-Standard Non-Stocking

This week, we take a peek into a line of designs seldom seen outside of the organizations who commissioned them. Non-Standard Non-Stocking items have been designed by FirstSpear at the request of Professional Users to meet a unique mission set. Occasionally, FirstSpear will make a few extra. Due to the specialized nature and limited production of these items, colors are limited.

Originally developed as a medical pack for a US Special Operations unit, this pack can easily be adapted for use as a range bag, E&E pack, or 1 day pack. Features include hydration compartment, padded shoulder straps, 5 external pockets and compression straps.

FirstSpear Friday Focus – Cord and Tube Holder

In this week’s focus, we’ll take a look at FirstSpear’s Cord and Tube Holders. It’s a simple design consisting of an elastic webbing loop on a Hook square. They come in a pack of six and work great for holding buoyancy compensator hoses, and radio/comms cables, and hydration hoses.

They can be easily installed on shoulderstraps.

Additionally, they can be inserted into the 6/12 to offer attachment points.

FirstSpear Friday Focus – Advanced Clothing Materials – Beanie & Neckie

It consists of three different weights which incorporate 100% USA Merino wool. It’s harvested from sheep out West and milled into a proprietary blend which capitalizes on Merino’s naturally occurring properties, all without the itch.
