Harrisburg, Pa. (October 2016) – IWI US, Inc., a subsidiary of Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) Ltd., invites all who love the smell of gunpowder, sight of hot steel and the thrill of firing full-auto to test out the full arsenal of IWI US firearms at the 2016 Texas Firearms Festival. The festival will be held at the Best of the West Shooting Range in Liberty Hill, Texas, Oct. 15-16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“We’ll have an array of IWI firearms on site, including the belt-fed Negev machine gun, the Galil 5.56 machine gun, the TAVOR X95 in 5.56 and 9mm, the TAVOR SAR, the Galil in 7.62×39 and 7.62×51, UZI Pros with stabilizing brace and various models of the Jericho pistol. I think the only thing we left in Israel is the Iron Dome. Now’s your chance to get behind the trigger of your favorite IDF firearm, so do yourself a favor and drop by the booth, it’ll put a smile on your face,” said Michael Kassnar, VP of Sales & Marketing for IWI US.

IWI US will be located in shooting bay 4 and staffed by knowledgeable company personnel from their Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, headquarters.

In its third year, the unique Festival provides a welcoming environment for all experience levels in the world of firearms – from the proficient hunter, to the hesitant homeowner seeking more information and familiarity. All tickets can be purchased online.

The Texas State Rifle Association, one of the event sponsors, will host educational and learn-to-shoot classes for beginners on both days. Individuals have the opportunity to purchase tickets that allow them to try exhibitor guns at the event, under the close supervision of manufacturer representatives and training safety officers.

Those who wish to try guns at the festival should purchase “shooter tickets,” which will give them access to over 20 dedicated firearms demonstration “try and buy” bays. Both shooter and non-shooter tickets will be able to browse a retail village that showcases the best in ammo and accessories.

VIP ticket holders gain earlier access into the festival each day at 9 a.m., and can also attend a separate “Full Auto Friday” event on Oct. 14 that features automatic weapons. Individuals can purchase VIP tickets for either day or both days. In addition to earlier morning access and the features available to regular ticketholders, VIP attendees gain “Fast Pass” access to skip the line at each exhibitor bay by showing their VIP wristbands, and can access the VIP lounge to relax, utilize the complementary Wi-Fi and enjoy nonalcoholic beverages. VIP lounge guests also receive a complementary lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.

All attendees can purchase food from Austin’s finest food-truck cuisine and enjoy free parking, with preferred parking for VIP attendees on a first-come, first-serve basis. No alcoholic beverages will be served, available for purchase or allowed into the event for any ticketholders.

Festival CEO Michelle Felkins emphasized that Festival organizers take no shortcuts when it comes to safety.

“We have always placed safety first at this festival, not just during the event itself, but in the mandatory training we require of our on-site safety officers, vendors and exhibitors before the festival,” said Felkins, citing their impeccable safety record over the last two years of the festival’s history.

Felkins reminds prospective attendees that all licensed gun owners who bring their firearms must keep them holstered at all times.

“We have a zero tolerance policy for attendees who don’t keep their firearms holstered,” she said.

EUROSATORY 2016: IWI Marks TAVOR’s Decade of Excellence in Combat; Will Present, for the First Time, a Military Version of the X95 .300 AAC Blackout

Thursday, June 9th, 2016

Eurosatory 2016, Paris, France, June 13-17, Israel Pavilion, Hall 6, Stand #E 733

June 9, 2016 – Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) – a leader in the production of combat-proven small arms for law enforcement agencies as well as governments and armies around the world – marks TAVOR’s decade of excellence in combat. The company will present, for the first time, the military version of the X95 assault rifle in .300 AAC Blackout caliber.

According to Uri Amit, IWI’s President and CEO, “We are currently celebrating TAVOR’s decade of successful military operation. The TAVOR became the first new generation bullpup rifle to achieve such popularity in such a short time; in only ten years it has been adopted by dozens of armies and units around the world. The TAVOR was developed in response to the evolving changes in the battlefield, which required a versatile weapon to support fighting in both Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and in open areas. Reaching the highest levels of accuracy in ranges of up to 500 meters, the TAVOR has excellent ergonomics, making it easier for the fighter to operate it on the battlefield.”

For the first time at Eurosatory, the company will present the X95 (MICRO TAVOR) assault rifle in .300 AAC Blackout caliber – making the X95 a multi-caliber platform with the ability to switch to any of 4 calibers (5.56X45mm, 9mm, 5.45X39mm, and now – 7.62×35 mm). The conversion is easily accomplished, requiring only a change of the barrel. Due to the fact that the BLK 300 and the 5.56mm ammunition have the same dimensions, they both use the same standard AR magazine. Since a wide variety of ammunition can be used for the BLK 300 caliber, the rifle can be silenced at a very high level, which is not possible with the current 5.56mm ammunition.

About TAVOR Family of Assault Rifles

Complying with the most stringent NATO standards for small arms – including operation in harsh conditions – the TAVOR is in service in the IDF Infantry and Special Forces as well as in other countries throughout the world. It has a bullpup configuration, a barrel length and weapon size that cover all soldier’s fighting ranges – from 500 meters to indoor operations, fighting from vehicles, urban areas, etc.

IWI US Introduces TAVOR SAR in .300 Blackout at 2016 SHOT Show

Thursday, January 14th, 2016

IWI US, Inc., a subsidiary of Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) Ltd., is proud to announce a new caliber for the TAVOR® SAR; the .300 Blackout. The bullpup deemed “Rifle of the Year” by the NRA’s American Rifleman Magazine in 2014 continues to excite the American audience who have embraced the TAVOR SAR and the bullpup concept with open arms. For those who already own a TAVOR® SAR in 5.56 NATO or 9mm, a .300 Blackout conversion kit will also be available.

“We’ve had a ton of requests for this particular caliber as its popularity has grown as a good self-defense round as well as a hunting round,” Michael Kassnar, VP of Sales and Marketing for IWI US explained. “The .300 Blackout is a highly accurate, soft shooting round that is also a very effective hunting round, unlike the lighter more traditional varmint or military calibers. We listened to our customers on Facebook and through our Customer Service Department and this was a round that kept coming up to the top of the wish list. And we listened to our customers express their need for a .300 Blackout rifle that can reliably handle sub-sonic and supersonic loads. The result is an integral gas regulator built into the Tavor barrel that is easily adjustable for sub or supersonic rounds.”

The TAVOR® SAR bullpup configuration offers the short rifle convenience but with a full size rifle’s velocity, energy and accuracy. All of the TAVOR® SAR’s parts are MIL-STD and 100% interchangeable. The 16.5” or 18” .300 Blackout barrel is cold-hammer forged and chrome lined, made from CrMoV steel. The long-stroke gas piston system is also 100% ambidextrous in configuration and operation with an optional opposite hand bolt, and a simple field stripping is all that is needed to quickly and easily break down the TAVOR into two major serviceable subassemblies. MSRP is $ 2,049.00.

The .300 Blackout conversion kit includes a 16.5” or 18” cold hammer forged chrome lined barrel made of CrMoV steel with a 1:7 right hand twist, a headspaced bolt, an A2 flash suppressor and barrel wrench. MSRP is $499.00.
