When I was stationed in Hawaii I bought a pair of Keen slippaz with a capped big toe. They were great; I didn’t need to worry about stubbing my toe while walking around the yard. Apparently, when we PCSed to Kirtland AFB, I tossed them out. I had forgotten all about them until I ran across these.

Keen is bringing them back and boy, will my toes be happy.

Check out the Newport Pant from KEEN’s new line of outdoor clothing. It’s a pretty nice set up for a pair outdoor pants. The only thing that might be a deal breaker is the 100% Cotton fabric story but even that has its place.

Keen footwear is rising in popularity among military personnel. Not only are the sandals a favorite for off-duty wear both at home station as well as deployed to an FOB, but Keen’s new line of hikers have found favor in unit’s with more relaxed uniform standards. An informal survey among one deployed SOF unit showed more personnel wearing Keen than any other single brand.
