Ausus

The Ausus is a “Luxury EDC Knife without the Luxury Pricetag” by StatGear, currently up as a Kickstarter campaign. A folding-style knife, the Ausus features a 3.5″ drop point blade with a taper grind, made of D2 Steel, and a canvas Micarta handle. Dual oversized thumb studs and ball bearing deployment allow for a smooth, easy opening, while the liner lock mechanism ensures the blade stays in place when deployed. Additional features include a reversible pocket clip, and lanyard hole.

This project is fully funded (over ten times its goal at the time of writing), however if you want one for yourself in time for the early December ship date range, you can check out the campaign at the link below.

Covert Products Group’s “Bring Anywhere Tool” has 12+ Functions in a Compact Size

Trident

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut – November 2, 2017 – In a market flooded with multitools and pocket gizmos, standing out from the crowd is no easy feat, especially on Kickstarter. With a unique shape and carry options, Covert Products Group’s new B.A.T. TRIDENT multitool moves the conversation of EDC tools in a totally new direction.

Inspired by the familiar silhouette of side-release buckles (as found on backpacks and bags), the B.A.T. TRIDENT expands on CPG’s “bring anywhere tool” concept that debuted on Kickstarter last year. The TRIDENT – which launched this week on Kickstarter – is engineered to contain 12+ useful functions in a compact, ergonomic and highly “carry-able” package. From daily utility to survival, the TRIDENT is designed to be carried (almost) anywhere, excel at a variety of tasks, and look good doing it.

“The perfect tool isn’t so perfect if you don’t have it with you,” explains the TRIDENT’s designer Thom O’Leary. “The TRIDENT is big enough to be useful, but small enough to carry just about anywhere, either visibly or covertly. Slip it onto a backpack strap, belt, keychain, or carry it in your pocket.”

The TRIDENT functions include:

· Phillips head screwdriver

· Razor edge

· Sharp piercing point

· Captured cutter

· Flat head screwdriver/pry tip

· Wire stripper

· Serrated fire rod scraper

· Saw edge

· Laser-etched 1” ruler

· Ergonomic bottle opener operated with the tool safely held in the sheath

· Fire starter rod (included) OR swap it out for an optional EmbriteTM glow pellet from TEC Accessories

· 3M SOLAS reflective sticker

· And the TRIDENT’s molded Kydex Sheath is designed to allow multiple attachment options for everyday carry

The TRIDENT is available now through December 1st on Kickstarter, with lowest prices available for early adopters. The TRIDENT will ship during or before March 2018.

WESN Titanium Micro Blade EDC Pocket Knife On Kickstarter

Saturday, October 28th, 2017

Kickstarter-only prices of $35 on the WESN — a titanium knife with a length of 3.6″. Available October 25.

The WESN is a titanium body micro blade measuring in at a total length of 3.6 inches. It has the practicality and versatility of a full-size knife—but at a fraction of the weight, and the size of a house key.

WESN Goods has launched an exciting Kickstarter campaign that offers backers exclusive early-bird prices on the WESN Micro Blade. WESN was founded by Billy Chester, who wanted to build a knife that combined all of his favorite parts and aspects from different knives he’d owned.

“When I started making the WESN knife, I didn’t have any grand ideas of starting a ‘knife brand,’” Chester says. “All I wanted was a knife that I myself would want to own—something reliable, practical, and made of the best materials. Plus, I wanted something worth every penny of the cost, and not a cent too expensive.”

By using top grade components, the WESN is made with some of the best materials at an affordable price: grade 5 titanium and AUS8 steel. Chester partnered with the top knife manufacturer overseas, meaning he produces the WESN out-of-country. This keeps the cost down, while still using top-grade, made-in-America components. The titanium makes the body simultaneously tough, hardy, and incredibly light. And by using AUS8 steel, the blade is durable, sharp, and made to last for years.

The full specs of the WESN are as follows:

  • Blade Length: 1.5” (38mm)
  • Closed Length: 1.9” (48mm)
  • Open Length: 3.85″ (98mm)
  • Handle Material: Grade 5 Titanium body
  • Blade Steel: AUS8 Heat Treated Steel
  • Hardware: Stainless steel
  • Frame-lock
  • Pocket Clip
  • Keychain Hole
  • Lifetime Warranty
  • Those interested in the WESN micro blade can visit WESN Goods at their website, and can purchase their own by visiting the knife’s Kickstarter page and backing the project.

    About WESN:

WESN Goods was started by Billy Chester as a way to pursue building practical, dependable, hard-working goods. Committed to using the best materials, WESN Goods promises to build things that carry far and carry well.

    Monday, June 19th, 2017

    AGULUK Kryptec Highlander

AGULUK is a load-carrying system developed by avid outdoorsman Cody Gustin, currently up for funding on Kickstarter. It’s designed to replace a traditional backpack, removing all carrying capacity from the back, and instead distributing the weight on the legs and hips. In appearance, AGULUK looks a bit like a combination of large carry pouches/miniature packs hanging from a climbing belt.

The AGULUK series comes in two sizes: R-Pack and H-Pack. The R-Pack, or Hiking Pack, holds up to 2000 cu in of gear, 1000 cu in each side. The H-Pack, Hunting Pack, holds 1500 cu in per side, for a total of 3000 cu. As you can see from the animation above, you can fit a solid amount of gear in an H-Pack.

AGULUK will be available in a variety of solid colors and camouflages, including Kryptek patterns, depending on the model.
