Monday, May 18th, 2015I spent last week hunting in New Zealand. One of the first things I packed was my Platatac GBH-R.
I wear it all of the time; while shooting, hunting, hiking and camping. Made from comfortable 100% ripstop cotton, it incorporates full vents on either side and a bungee cinch strap to keep it on your head in the wind. In fact, I wore the GBH-R during a precision shooting course a few weeks ago in SoCal’s high desert where the winds were in excess of 30 mph. It never blew off but didn’t feel uncomfortably tight either.
What I like most about the hat is the short brim which doesn’t block your vision yet still keeps the sun out of your eyes and off your ears.
Mine is in MultiCam, but it’s also offered in AUSCAM as a stock item and occasionally in others as well.
Highly recommended.

H-Smock
The H-Smock is made from 100% cotton ripstop fabric with double stitching and bar tacking on all major seam lines for durability. Sounds great for warm weather wear! The H-Smock features plenty of storage space, with four utility pockets, two zippered map chest pockets, three internal poachers pockets, and two bicep pockets. Two New Products From Platatac

Platatac Soldier Integrated Combat Cobra (SICC) Belt Mk2
The SICC Belt Mk2 is Platatac’s update on the classic SICC belt. The primary addition to the updated belt is an additional column of MOLLE-compatible webbing to better support the attachment of pouches, which makes the SICC Mk2 an even more stable platform for a pistol holster. Manufactured from high strength, abrasion resistant webbing, and featuring an aluminum Cobra Buckle, the SICC Mk2 is also great for running mag pouches, multiple utility pouches for general use, or just holding up a pair of pants.

Platatac/Naked Army ‘SF Operator’ Cold-Cast Bronze Figurine
Platatac partnered with Naked Army to develop this cold cast bronze figurine of a coalition SF Operator. 1:6 scale, the figure incorporates elements of Operators from towards the end of the War in Afghanistan from countries including Australia, Canada, UK, USA, and New Zealand. Dressed in typical SF gear, the figure is carrying an M4 SOF MOD carbine with suppressor, scope, SureFire light, and Advanced Target Pointer/Illuminator/Aiming Laser, and an HK 9mm USP as a secondary.
