TNVC Offering Gen 3 M845

Thursday, August 22nd, 2013

Got this late last night from TNVC. Looks like a good deal.

FINALLY A Gen 3 Rifle Scope at an Affordable Price! M845 Gen 3’s are here from TNVC!
As many know, we first started selling the M845 Gen 2+ units several years ago. We were simply amazed at the performance of the initial units along with a 2MOA Red Dot was something to behold while shooting on the move. This scope remains the quickest NV scope we’ve used for shooting on the move along with being the most robust units with the housing consisting of machined aluminum and US made!.

During this time, many (and we mean many) have asked for a Gen 3 version of the M845. A whole bunch of you wanted a truly economical Gen 3 scope without breaking the bank. We listened intently and turned wishes into reality. TNVC is now releasing substantial qty’s of units with our name on them. You can be sure we paid attention to the details of these units and the QA that comes along with any gear we release.

These new Gen 3 units are utilizing L3 Commercial spec tubes. Awhile back, these systems got the reputation of being “the best bang for your resolution dollar”, and we sincerely believe the newest line up of Gen 3 M845’s will earn the same reputation.

The M845 Mk.4 2.8x is a low magnification Night Vision Rifle Scope. This awesome scope is a red dot night vision device that allows for extremely fast target acquisition especially because of the 2.8x magnification which offers a generous field of view. It utilizes a new production, U.S.-made Gen3 (L-3 Commercial Spec) Image Intensifier tube. The highly popular Gen2 version of this scope prompted a lot of customers to ask for a Gen3 version. Well, here it is. The crisp Gen3 resolution of these scopes provides generous detail for easy target acquisition. The M845 Mk.4 2.8x is one of the best options for the predator/ hog hunter. It is very intuitive, mounts to Milspec 1913 Picatinny rail, and features a robust, machined aluminum housing. Controls are simple: focus, diopter adjustment, and a single knob that controls power and red dot brightness. These are some of the best value night vision scopes on the market. And now, they are even better!

FLIR T70

The FLIR T70 is an uncooled clip-on thermal weapon sight designed and optimized for use with NATO 5.56x45mm and 7.62x51mm rounds with an approximate 500 meter range. It features a low, in-line opto-mechanical profile that compliments current Rifle Combat Optics and is suitable for weaponry featuring flip-down or removable front sight posts. The FLIR features a x1 default field of view for center of mass hits at 500 meters, and a x1.5 field of view to allow the operator to display a wide area of regard for situational awareness. It also functions as a standalone weapon sight and hand held thermal viewer.

The FLIR T70 is powered by either 3 AA batteries, 5 hours at 20 degrees Celsius, or 2 CR123 batteries, 4 hours at 20 degrees Celsius, and the batteries can be replaced without removing the sight from the weapon. It features the standard white hot/black hot polarity modes, although it can also show images in full color using several palette modes:

Gray (Grayscale) Palette – provides maximum contrast on targets against a uniform background using black and white shades.

Iron Palette – provides a color scale that goes from dark red through yellow to white to represent increasing temperatures.

Rain (Rainbow) Palette – uses all the colors of the rainbow from red through green, blue, and yellow to violet to represent increasing temperatures.

Ice (Fire & Ice) Palette – displays blue for cold targets and red for hot targets.

The FLIR T70 comes in a Flat Dark Earth finish.

New TNV/Sentinel Binocular Night Vision System

Friday, August 9th, 2013

TNV/Sentinel Goggles

New from the Tactical Night Vision Company is the TNV/Sentinel Binocular Night Vision System. Manufactured by Adams Industries, the Sentinel BNVS was designed in direct response to the ground deployment of ANVIS Aviation Goggles and their subsequent breakage due to not being rugged enough for that environment. It’s up-armored when compared to standard ANVIS goggles, constructed with a machined composite housing bolstered by aluminum front and rear plates on the bridge. Unlike the complete lack of waterproofing offered by standard ANVIS goggles, the Sentinel is submersible up to 66 feet.

The Sentinel utilizes worm drive interpupillary adjustment, with none of the creaking and rattling found in aviation goggles and is built using L-3 Infinity OMNI VIII Image Intensifier Tubes, Gen3 tubes which offer unparalleled clarity, resolution, low light performance, and durability. The Sentinel also features a user-swappable mount interface, and can be field-adapted to either standard dovetail mounts or ANVIS-style ball detent mounts. Depending on the configuration, the Sentinel is powered either by a single CR123 battery or a remote battery pack. The Sentinel is available in a corrosion resistant matte black or FDE finish.
