The Pathfinders have long used a rather substantial belt kit for load carriage that rides below the rucksack. It’s cool to see them still using what has always worked in this day and age of so many commercially available options.

Wiltshire-based Tim has worked as Edgar Brothers’ Area Sales Manager for the South of England for the past two years, and this exciting new role will be an additional responsibility. An optics specialist, Tim said he has always been very keen on Bushnell products: “Their range of riflescopes, trail cameras, laser range finders and binoculars are true market leaders. I am thrilled to be the brand representative and will liaise directly with Bushnell, Edgar Brothers internal personnel and retailers on technical data, sales and marketing initiatives.”

I awoke this morning to some great news. The UK MoD has announced that after a trial for a new service pistol consisting of 7 contenders they have chosen the Glock 17 Gen 4 to replace the Browning Hi-Power which has seen 45 years of service. The MoD has awarded a £9m contract with Viking Arms Ltd of Harrogate to provide more than 25,000 new Glock pistols and Blackhawk! holsters Radar 1957 holsters from Italy. Interestingly, the British purchased a number of SIG pistols over the past few years as an urgent requirement for use in Afghanistan.
Congrats to both Glock and our friends in the British military.
