Edgar Brothers Offering Smith Optics Aegis ARC in Urban Wolf – Worldwide Exclusive

Edgar Brothers has a worldwide exclusive to offer the Smith Optics Aegis ARC (Standard and Compact Fit) in the Urban Wolf color from Arc’teryx. Not only is this a great color, but there is a wide variety of clothing and equipment coming from Arc’teryx as well as other vendors such as Smith Optics over the next few months.

Unveiled at SHOT Show this past year, the Aegis ARC offers ballistic impact protection per US MIL-PRF-31013 standard and meets US ANSI Z87.1 for protective eyewear along with European standard EN 166. Additionally, the Aegis provides 100% protection from UVA/UVB rays as well as anti-fog and scratch resistant coatings on all lenses. Two great features are the megol temples and soft nose to hold the Aegis in place and Pivlock Lens Interchange Technology to simplify lens changes. Although the photo below features a pair of Black Aegis, it gives you an idea of what is included in the kit.

Cadex Extended Rail Mount

Cadex showed us a 3D printed prototype of this cool Extended Rail Mount in the ADS Inc booth at AUSA. At the USASOC Sniper Comp this week at Ft Bragg, they had a machined aluminum version. It attaches to a Knights Armament Rail to give you some additional rail real estate out in front of the sight.

American Kami Reveals Project Mayhem

During this week’s USASOC Sniper Competition American Kami gave the world a sneak peek of what they’ve had cooking under the code name: Project Mayhem. The actual hawk will be called the MANIAXE and is essentially a system with various components.

Handles are made from two slabs of CNCed G10. Shown are the long handles but a shorter handle will be offered as well.

Various heads are already in production and can be swapped out. The blades are DLC coated and will be laser engraved once they get back home.

A Date Which Will Live in Infamy

While today is the 71st anniversary of the Japanese attack on the US fleet at Pearl Harbor, it’s not hard for some to look at that day as ancient history and make the argument that by bringing it up every year, it perpetuates long held grudges. And to them I say, “Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.” Just consider my generation’s Pearl Harbor; the 9/11 attacks. Once again, America was the victim of a surprise attack that shocked the world. But, just like after Pearl Harbor, when America was attacked on 9/11 her citizens banded together and dealt with her aggressors. We must always be vigilant.

So here is my salute to America’s Greatest Generation and more so to those who served in the military during the inter-war years. That was true dedication. Thank you for showing us the way. May we always follow your example. And, a moment of silence for the 2402 Americans who were lost on that day and the hundreds more who were wounded in service to this great Nation.

President Roosevelt called today, “A date which will live in infamy.” May we never forget it.

H.I.P.S. Concealment Pistol Pouch

Wilson Combat’s Hide In Plain Sight holster offers a concealable carry option that is built to look like a belt storage case. The holster rides high on the belt, offering optimal comfort when seated. It’s designed to fit on heavy gun belts up to 1.5″ via double belt slots. The main compartment, which seals with a two-way YKK zipper, has a Velcro holster that can be adjusted to fit a variety of compact pistols.
