Monday, June 14th, 2010

ITW Military Products just unveiled their newly expanded web presence. Once you begin exploring, you will have no doubt that they are more than just buckles and feature innovative products such as the popular Tac Link, Grimloc, and FASTMAG. But they also offer several new products not seen by most of our readers such as the Total Lifter/Litter and MAGBOOT. It is really worth your while to check it all out.

Also, be sure to look out for ITW Military Products representatives at this week’s Special Operations Forces Industry Conference in Tampa, Florida and Eurostatory in Paris, France. At SOFIC the entire line of ITW Military Products are on display in booth 1108, Supply Captain.

Ernie Emerson Talks Emerson

Sunday, June 13th, 2010

Our correspondent caught up with Emerson Knives, Inc owner Ernie Emerson at Blade Show and this is what he had to say. When asked, Ernie Emerson indicated that the key to Emerson Knives is to ‘Stay on Focus’ and to continue to deliver the same quality knife today that he did 15-20 years ago. His goal is to have folks who carried a CQC-7 15 years ago, to pick up a new CQC-7 and feel the same high quality today they did the first time they handled one. He also really likes to see when folks stop by and show him a CQC-7 they’ve carried numerous times on the battlefield, or out hunting, or wherever his knives find themselves on the planet. It’s a fact the Emerson Name and Fame have grown over the past fifteen years and continue to do so. As long as Ernie Emerson and Emerson Knives continue to build to exacting specifications and deliver high quality knives, their product will continue to be found wherever Warriors go.

Ernie also provided us with a couple of pictures of the new Roadhouse.

Throw Over Holster

Sunday, June 13th, 2010

The Throw Over holster from CSM Gear combines a holster with a bandoleer-style strap. This means, you just grab and go. Instantaneously, you have a side arm mounted on your chest or tucked out of the way under your arm. How simple can that be?

The Throw Over Holster is available from US PALM.

Combat IV Pro Set

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

In conjunction with Army Special Forces units, WV IV PRO., Inc developed the Combat IV Pro Set. The heart of the Combat IV Pro Set is the dome which is crafted from medically approved plastic with ventilation holes to prevent the possibility of bacteria. The grommet snaps onto the IV line, therefore the catheter cannot be dislodged while in transit. Additionally, the strap based attachment system poses a major advantage over the surgical tape typically used by Combat Medics since sand and other debris will not stick to it.

Messenger of Doom

Friday, June 11th, 2010

New from Hazard 4 is the Messenger of Doom or MOD Bag. Obviously, it is a messenger style and offers a generous amount of internal space for laptops, modular containers, and other equipment. Additionally, the MOD is slathered in PALS goodness in order to custom tailor loads. There is also a removable smooth sided flap that helps conceal the true purpose of the MOD Bag and makes it look like a mild-mannered although stylish computer bag.

The main compartment is actually large enough to carry a sub-machine gun while the laptop sleeve is accessible without opening the main compartment and will also accommodate an armor plate if you decide to leave your computer at home. Another great feature is the padded shoulder strap has a third attachment point to further stabilize the load. The MOD Bag is available in Black as well as Coyote and is made from 1000D Cordura.

I was fortunate enough to take a look at it during SHOT Show and am impressed. If you are in the market for a computer bag that does a little more than its contemporaries, the MOD Bag is worth checking out. www.Hazard4.com
