Marietta, GA – September 8, 2015 – TRU-SPEC, one of the leading suppliers of uniforms and personal equipment to the military, law enforcement and public safety markets, is excited to announce they are the official apparel provider for the award-winning, family favorite adventure show, Scaly Adventures.
Beginning this month, the third season of the popular television show will kick off, and viewers will be able to see TRU-SPEC’s MultiCam Black, TRU Pants, boonies, contractor caps, backpacks, black t-shirts and the ladies’ pro-weight t-shirt outfitting the cast on their adventures.
Scaly Adventures, also known as Pierce’s Scaly Adventures, is an E/I (educational/informational) television show featuring Richard, Tanya, and Pierce Curren as they travel around the world featuring many different exotic animals, as well as their own 32 reptiles. The purpose of the show is not only to teach what reptiles are really like, but also to inspire kids through family-friendly programming. Each episode focuses on teaching kids how they should “interact with, care for, and protect animals.”

5.11 Tactical first unveiled the Taclite Anorak at this year’s Outdoor Retailer Summer Market as part of their upcoming Fall/Winter 2015 line. It is made of 5.11’s exclusive poly-cotton blend Taclite fabric, with a Teflon finish for stain and soil resistance, as well as a 100% cotton flannel lining which provides 40gm of insulation. The addition of 5.11’s Quixip two-way zipping, which extends through the sleeve, allows for the Anorak to transition from cool to warm conditions while maintaining comfort. The Anorak also features kangaroo style pockets with 5.11’s Rapiddraw for access to a concealed firearm.
