Personnel Change at the Rheinmetall Group

Sunday, July 28th, 2019

Automotive CEO Horst Binnig closes his career at Rheinmetall

After 20 successful years in the Automotive sector and on the Rheinmetall Group’s Executive Board, Horst Binnig (60) has asked the company’s Supervisory Board to be released for personal reasons from his duties as Chairman of the Executive Board of Rheinmetall Automotive AG and as a member of the Executive Board of the Group holding company Rheinmetall AG. Following the implementation of a succession plan with a smooth transition of leadership duties, he will relinquish his responsibilities within the Group by the end of 2019 and retire.

After working for the KACO Group and Hengstler GmbH, Binnig joined the Automotive sector of the Rheinmetall Group in 1999 where he was initially in charge of Corporate Development and then headed the Automotive subsidiary KS Aluminium-Technologie. During this time, he was also instrumental in setting up the Group’s second major joint venture with SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation) in China. In addition, he shaped and drove forward the vigorous expansion of Rheinmetall Automotive’s activities there as part of its internationalization strategy. Horst Binnig has been a member of the Executive Board of Rheinmetall Automotive AG since 2012 and took over as Chairman at the beginning of 2014. He was also appointed to the Executive Board of Rheinmetall AG in 2014.

Ulrich Grillo, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Rheinmetall AG and Armin Papperger, Chairman of Rheinmetall Automotive AG’s Supervisory Board, pay tribute to Horst Binnig’s entrepreneurial achievements: “Even though there is still some time left before his departure, we would like to thank Horst Binnig today. Not only has he played a decisive role in the extremely positive development of Rheinmetall Automotive’s business over recent years, he also delivered important impetus for the development of the Rheinmetall Group as such as a member of the Group’s Executive Board. All the more do we therefore regret his decision as much as we respect it.“

Fissile Group x The Design Aggregate Announce Partnership

Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019

Alex Warburton is standing on top of a cliff. It’s 60 feet to the bottom and in between him and a safe landing are two giant snow covered pillows covered in at least a meter of snow. But he can’t see them. He can see the nose of his snowboard and the space that he would like to land a ride away and that’s all.

Down and to the side is Dano Pendygrasse. He just weaseled his way through a steep icy gap between a giant old growth cedar tree and the aforementioned cliff to gain a vantage point where he can take a picture. “IT GOES!” He yells. They exchange details in a verbal shorthand that would mean nothing to anyone who was listening.

A moment later Alex yells “DROPPING!” and points his board over the edge. He connects the snowy dots of the pillows and lands in the transition and rides away. Dano’s camera captures it all.

When you build trust in scenarios where injury or death are real possibilities, the rest comes easy.

Fissile Group and The Design Aggregate are proud to announce a strategic partnership. Over the last couple decades they have worked with brands like Adidas, Arc’teryx, Burton, Monster Energy, Rip Curl, and dozens more, and bring a deep endemic knowledge to design, brand development, and strategy. The award winning products, campaigns and content they have developed have had a global impact creating lasting impact for their clients.

“This collaboration increases capabilities of both camps and positions FG x TDA as a leading resource for clients looking for a connection to Outdoor and Action Sports markets in the Pacific Northwest.”

-Alex Warburton. Principal, The Design Aggregate

“It’s been very fulfilling to work with Alex and his team again after all these years. His experience in the space is impressive and The Design Aggregate process has been a natural fit with Fissile Group. We’re very excited about the work we’ve begun and look forward to taking on more interesting challenges.”

Celerant’s ATF-compliant retail software integrates with Chattanooga, enabling firearm dealers to better manage and grow their business in store and online
Staten Island, NY (July 16, 2019) – Celerant Technology, a leading provider of innovative retail solutions for the firearms industry, and Chattanooga Shooting Supplies, a leading distributor of firearms and outdoor hunting equipment, jointly announce a strategic partnership to help firearms dealers streamline inventory, improve fulfillment and offer an ‘endless aisle’. Through Celerant’s integration with Chattanooga, firearms dealers can import products, automatically reorder inventory, access in store kiosks, display products online and drop ship orders.
In Store: Ensure shelves are stocked without overspending
Celerant’s ATF-compliant retail software- Cumulus Retail™, an affordable and powerful point of sale and eCommerce solution for small business; and Stratus Enterprise™; a comprehensive retail commerce software with high-end capabilities- both integrate with Chattanooga Shooting Supplies. The integration offers firearm dealers a point of sale, pre-populated with Chattanooga’s products, including firearms, gun cases, ammunition, crossbows, knives, military gear, apparel and much more. Dealers can also browse and import additional products from Chattanooga’s catalog, and reorder inventory with automated purchases orders based on predefined min/max levels, ensuring the right amount of stock throughout the year without overspending. Dealers can also access in store kiosks, leveraging Chattanooga’s live inventory, to offer products to customers that they might not carry in their store.
Online: Display a wide-variety of products online with drop shipping
Celerant’s integrated eCommerce allows firearm dealers to manage their store and website as one. With online ‘data feeds’, Chattanooga’s products, along with product descriptions, images and stock levels, can be displayed directly on the dealer’s website in, virtually, real-time. When an order is placed, Chattanooga is automatically alerted and drop ships the order from their warehouse directly to the dealer’s customer. That way, dealers can display and sell Chattanooga’s merchandise online, without investing in, or stocking, the inventory.

“As our business continues to grow, Celerant is a logical step for us to provide dealers more tools to ensure their success,” said Ron Staffieri, President and CEO of Marketing of Chattanooga Shooting Supplies. “This partnership will provide CSSI dealers of any size, the technology to help them grow their business. We are excited to introduce Celerant to our dealers as part of the CSSI Family.”

“We are excited to partner with Chattanooga Shooting Supplies, and offer retail technology that seamlessly integrates with their products and services,” said Ian Goldman, CEO of Celerant Technology. “Chattanooga Shooting Supplies and Celerant have always supported the outdoor hunting industry; and together we make it easier for both large and smaller dealers to manage and expand their business in store and online, compete, and remain compliant with the ATF.”

True North Enterprises

Friday, July 19th, 2019

True North Enterprises specializes in kitting. They’re well known in both government and industry and they’ll work with the supply chain to assemble the gear you want and kit it together into any configuration you need. Once the kits are created, they will deliver where and when you need them.

And addition to kits they’ve already created for others, they can do pretty much anything you can dream up.

To give you an idea of what I’m talking about, I’m going to share some sample kits based on Android Tactical Assault Kit applications. These have already been created and fielded to other customers.

Here is a generic kit. As you can see, they’ll include everything you’ll need to put the equipment into operation. This can save you some serious headaches.

Additionally, TNE will assemble kits for specific applications, such as MFF, Low Viz and SR/DA.

TNE can also go beyond just the single kit and integrate a solution for an entire organization.
