Lexington, Ken. (November 2020) – GALLS, LLC®, the leading distributor of uniforms and equipment to public safety agencies, set out to change how agencies purchased uniforms and equipment in 2016 by launching GALLS eQuip, an online solution that allows agencies to custom order uniforms and equipment and manages the entire process from procurement to accounting. Since then, agencies, small to large, experience average savings of $370 – $500 per officer through the GALLS eQuip program. Mack will donate $20,000 this year for sales in 2019 and 2020, and will contribute up to $10,000 more next year as sales continue.

Fisher House Foundation builds comfort houses near military and Veterans Administration hospitals where military and veterans families can stay free of charge while a loved one is in the hospital.

“Mack Defense is committed to supporting those in the military and our veterans in any way we can to acknowledge their unwavering commitment to help protect and serve our country and its citizens,” said David Hartzell, president, Mack Defense. “We are proud to be able to donate to Fisher House Foundation proceeds from sales of our military-inspired Mack Anthem diecast model.”

The unique diecast model features a camo-wrapped Anthem model cab and the phrase “Salute to Service” on the trailer, along with the Mack Bulldog logo and the American Flag both prominently displayed. The diecast is sold through the Mack Shop, www.mackshop.com, item number M1216.

Founded by Zachary Fisher, who had been a prominent New York real estate developer and philanthropist committed to the U.S. Armed Forces and a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient recognized by President Bill Clinton, each Fisher House comfort home features seven to 21 suites, accommodating 16 to 42 family members and are between 5,000 and 16,800 square feet in size. All homes are professionally furnished with common kitchens, dining rooms and living spaces.

Fisher House Foundation also operates the Hero Miles program, which utilizes donated frequent flyer miles to fly family members to their injured loved one, and the Hotels for Heroes program, using donated hotel points to allow family members to stay near their loved one in a hotel for free.

“Fisher House Foundation thanks Mack Trucks for their generous contribution,” said Chairman and CEO of Fisher House Foundation Ken Fisher. “Mack Trucks understands the importance of keeping military families together at one of the most critical times – when loved ones are receiving care in VA and military hospitals.”

Rapid Growth Leads to Large Expansion for Riton Optics

Thursday, November 19th, 2020

Tucson, AZ (18 November 2020)- Former U.S. Air Force service member and Capitol Police Officer, Brady Speth started Riton Optics in 2013 with the initial consumer sales starting in 2016. What originated with scopes literally being sold out of a backpack, transformed into a well-developed, highly sought after product line that provides consumers with better value and service.

In those humble beginnings in 2013, Speth and his wife operated the company from their Arizona residence, designing and testing products with the support of Speth’s military and law enforcement relationships. In 2016, as enthusiasts became more familiar with this newcomer to the optics market, Riton made its first move into a commercial space on Tucson’s east side. In just one year, an adjacent space was acquired to double the space, in order to keep up with customer demand. Two years later in 2018, the company had again outgrown the building and expanded to a new facility to double their operations space.

After continued unprecedented growth in an additional two year time period, Riton once again outgrew their space and on October 23rd of this year, Riton celebrated the grand opening of their new building. With over 10,000 square feet of space and property for continual expansion, this beautiful new structure features an engaging front lobby area with custom displays, a full studio for media and significant floorspace for operations, quality control and warehousing.

Regarding the new space, Riton’s Chief Operating Officer, Carrie Speth commented, “There’s an indescribable sense of pride and gratitude when reflecting on where we started in the garage of our house to now multiple expansions in a few short years. The expansion allows us to continue our goal of providing consumers with the best value and service in the optics industry.”

Throughout this incredible journey of growth, Riton remains committed to the vision of providing the best value and service in the optics industry.

Shadow Systems Launches Defense Website

Thursday, November 12th, 2020

Plano, TX (November, 2020) – The U.S.-based handgun manufacturer has launched its direct-to-agency website, shadowsystemsdefense.com to help Law Enforcement departments and Military units purchase directly to outfit their officers and servicemembers.

Shadow Systems, makers of the compact MR920, the long-slide MR920L, and the soon-to-be-released full-size DR920 have designed their pistols with LEOs and servicemembers in mind. Most Shadow Systems employees have a background in either law enforcement or military service, so for this team producing a bet-your-life-reliable pistol has always been the top priority. With the launch of shadowsystemsdefense.com, Shadow Systems is streamlining the process for agencies to test and evaluate Shadow pistols for their team. With just four clicks, procurement officers can request guns for testing and evaluation.

“Once you shoot a Shadow Systems pistol, you understand why the design works so well for so many different people. The interchangeable backstraps that change the grip angle to fit natural point of aim, the drop-safe flat-faced trigger, the directional serrations, they all work together to make this firearm incredibly intuitive. The features of our pistols and the fact that, in many cases, there is no new gear or training required make it easy to see why Shadow Systems pistols are starting to be adopted by agencies.” Chad Jewett, National Director of Sales.

T&E guns are now shipping for agencies considering Shadow Systems pistols for their team. Learn more about the pistol offerings and request T&E at shadowsystemsdefense.com.
