Thursday, January 26th, 2017Oxnard, CA – January 26, 2017 – Today ZEV Technologies, Inc. and Mega Arms, LLC announced their plans to combine the companies.
ZEV Technologies Chairman and CEO, Matt Ridenour, said, “We are tremendously excited about what this combination brings to the market. Both of our brands are focused on top tier products and our customers are very excited about ZEV’s addition of a line of AR and rifle products.”
Mega Arms President, Mike Miller, will immediately take responsibility for ZEV’s and Mega’s manufacturing operations. According to Miller, “These two companies fit together like a puzzle. We will bring our Quality Management System and manufacturing experience and ZEV brings amazing design, engineering and marketing skills and the financial strength to facilitate our continued growth”.
Ridenour commented that, “I want to emphasize to customers of both companies that, in the near term, nothing will change in our approach to the market. Both brands and product lines will remain in place. We will use 2017 as an opportunity to talk to our customers and evaluate all the ways to add value through the combined company”.
Olympic Arms To Close Doors
Thursday, January 26th, 2017Earlier today, Olympic Arms announced that they are closing their doors at the end of February. I’m sorry to see them go, for nostalgia reasons, if for no other. My first AR was an Oly, which I bought in 1991, while stationed at Fort Bragg.
After more than 40 years of business, it is with great sorrow that we announce that February 28th, 2017 will be the last day of operation for Olympic Arms, Inc.
The Schuetz family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all their friends, associates, and partners that have been a part of the Olympic Arms experience. Most of all we would like to thank our loyal customers and patrons who have been with us all this time.
In the course of closing, we are announcing the following changes in policy effective immediately:
All sales are final.
No refunds or returns will be accepted after 1-25-2017.
On-line Shopping Cart will be active and effective while supplies last.
All Warranty service ceases 1-25-2017. Warranty work and repairs currently in-house will be serviced and returned.
New orders will only be taken for inventory currently in stock, or that can be built from remaining inventory.
All inventory will be liquidated.
ALL SALES will cease at close of business 28 February, 2017

New York, NY (January 2017)- An investment group led by Falconhead Capital, LLC, a sports, leisure and lifestyle focused private equity firm, alongside M3 Outdoor Investments led by BLACKHAWK! founder and long term industry leader Michael Noell, today announced that it has acquired Kwik Tek, Inc. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Colorado and founded in 1991, Kwik Tek, Inc. is a leading designer and supplier of outdoor branded products for the recreational watersports and winter sports markets. Its product line includes towables, inflatables, life jackets, wakeboards, kneeboards, snowshoes, trekking poles, snow sleds, pool floats, lounge items, and related accessories. Kwik Tek supplies products through their trusted consumer brands including Airhead, Sportsstuff, and Yukon Charlie’s. JPMorgan provided senior revolver financing for the transaction and LBC Credit Partners provided senior term financing.
SHOT Show Media Day – EOTech’s New Branding

EOTech showed up at Media Day at the Range with a new logo not only for their main brand, but also for their line of Vudu scopes.
While EOTech’s main focus was on the Vudu line, we also caught a glimpse of an EOTech electro-optic sporting the new branding, found on the Q Honey Badger, which we will focus on in an upcoming article.
