Mummert Knives offers several designs of full-tang titanium tomahawks and axes that fulfill a variety of purposes.
The MTT-1 is Mummert Knives’ original full tang, all titanium tomahawk. Made from 6Al-4V titanium, the MTT-1 features an overall length of 18.3″ with a blade length of 3.1″ and a weight of 21.3 oz. The blade features a tungsten carbide, RC 72 edge. The choice of handle scales includes Micarta, G-10, or carbon fiber. The tubing which mounts the handle scales is also 6-4 titanium, which not only makes the MTT-1 non-corrosive in most environments, but also has no magnetic signature, making this an ideal hawk for EOD operators. Additional features include a hammer, prybar, and 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, and 3/4″ standard size wrench cutouts.
The MTT-S is the combat version of the MTT-1 tomahawk. Made from 6Al-4V titanium, the MTT-S features an overall length of 18″ with a blade length of 3.1″ and a weight of 22.5 oz. The blade features a tungsten carbide, RC 72 edge. The choice of handle scales include Micarta, G-10, and carbon fiber. The tubing which mounts the handle scales is also 6-4 titanium, which not only makes the MTT-1 non-corrosive in most environments, but also has no magnetic signature, making this an ideal hawk for EOD operators. Additional features include a 3.1″ complex ground spike (convex ground top edge, hollow ground inside edge), prybar, and 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, and 3/4″ standard size wrench cutouts.
The TBA-1 is Mummert Knives’ most robust combat axe. Made from 6Al-4V titanium, the TBA-1 features an overall length of 21.8″ with a main edge length of 6.5″, a top spike length of 2.9″, a rear spike length of 2.7″, and a weight of 22.5 oz. I know that the headline sounds like the opening line of a joke but it’s real. I think you’ll find this video from Paradigm SRP pretty interesting. It features Chris Garland, Paradigm SRP’s VP of Special Weapons and Combatives and based out of their Nashville, Tennessee office. He is a former US Army infantryman and served as a Diplomatic Security Officer (PSD) for the Department of State while assigned to the US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. A lifelong student of the martial arts, Chris hold various master level rankings in sword and knife based arts.
It features some of Paradigm SRP’s Special Operations Battle Blades. We first learned about them during SOFIC. They currently come in two flavors; the Direct Action Ranger Knife and Special Operations Battle Blade and were designed by Chris Garland based on his extensive knowledge of Japanese style swords and knives. Due to the special edge geometry and finishing, they are fully capable of delivering fatal cuts either through deep tissue destruction or the severing of body parts. In fact, the reason these blades were designed in the first place was to incapacitate an opponent in a single cut as seen in the video. They are available in both hand forged and machined versions.

“The Colonel” is the result of a collaborative effort between Mr. Nico Salvitti and Invictus Alliance Group.
According to IAG, the Colonel is designed for efficiency; efficiency of design, efficiency of motion, and efficiency of training. They say that The Colonel’s unique design enables its user to quickly and decisively draw the blade, perform a series of fast, powerful, and lethal thrusts on an enemy target. It features a full tang and utilizes a saber grind to ensure a strong cutting edge and point. Both sides of this blade are sharpened and the handle is made of black canvas Micarta to ensure a reliable grip.
