MATBOCK Monday || Rapid IFAK Deployment Pouch

The Rapid IFAK Deployment (RID) pouch was specifically designed to support post assault operations when dealing with an active shooter. The pouch is designed to hold 7 x Phokus Research Group “Shield Kits” for immediate care as well as a MATBOCK J-LIFT or 5 Shield Kits and an S-LIFT (internal products sold separately).

It can be worn as a stand-alone fanny pack or cross chest attachment, MOLLE or mounted to an operator’s belt. The versatile design allows for endless possibilities to support the operators needs.

The Shield Series was originally developed for individuals who carry a gun but do not wear body armor. The Shield Trauma Kit is a versatile pocket-sized bleed kit.

Sneak Peek – Jungle M4 Mag Pouch

Jungle and Vest/chest rigs don’t mix well. You’ve got to go back to a more traditional patrol rig like the old ALICE System. That means you’ll need a belt mounted mag pouch. MRLC Designs has developed this concept for exactly that purpose.  At this point, the materials are still under evaluation, but the basic concept is mostly there.

The Conceptual Jungle Utility Gear Suite (CJUGS) M4 Magazine Pouch is a modernized LC2 pouch that is PALS/MOLLE compatible.

The pouch holds three (3) M4 magazines, incorporates PALS webbing on the sides to facilitate the attachment of grenade pouches, etc. and has a D-Ring to mitigate load when used with the load carriage harness.

In addition, hook and loop closures which can be snagged by “wait-a-minute-vines” or become degraded in the jungle environment have been replaced by repairable side release buckles.

Gerber’s CustomFit Dual Sheath is a modular sheath designed to accommodate a wide variety of product combinations, including folding knives, multitools, and flashlights. The CustomFit features a quick-access back panel which allows the user to adjust the size of the sheath for their tools. The CustomFit also incorporates Quiet Deploy Velcro technology, which allows for silent opening of the sheath by pulling down on the front tab.

    Haley Strategic Partners – D3CRX

    HSP has introduced a new version of their popular Disruptive Environments Chest Rig with an X-style harness. The rifle magazine pouches still accept AR type magazines as well as AK 7.62 x39mm and 5.45 x 39 magazines but it has a couple of changes from the original. For example, they’ve added two Multi-Mission pouches which accept standard double or single stack pistol magazines, as well as many handheld lights, multi-tools, and 37mm/40mm grenades.  Additionally, the full Velcro field allows the rig to be outfitted with the latest D3CR accessories as well as assist in full contact connection with plate carriers. Finally, as you can see below, the removable the X harness features a floating overlap which will move with you.

    Wiebad – Kestrel Pouch

    Wiebad has introduced a Kestrel pouch. It’s a simple design, with a webbing loop at the rear for belt mounting and a Velcro closure on the flap as well as a 550 loop at the side to tie it down.     Magpul Now Shipping Happy Claymore Bag and T-Shirt

    I’ve been waiting for Magpul to start shipping the Happy Claymore Bag but I didn’t expect them to offer a cool T-shirt as well. The Happy Claymore Bag is everything you wanted in a purpose built pouch and yes, you can still use as a shaving kit if you want.

    The Happy Claymore Bag is a better solution to carry, emplace and recover M18A1 Claymore Mines.

    After years of working on and with small teams that use these mines regularly, the Magpul staff decided that there had to be a more practical and efficient way to do it.

    They ditched the wire reel, and drawing on their mountaineering and riverine experience decided on a design similar to a rope throw bag. The blasting cap and firing wire is routed through a large grommet on the bottom of the bag, then secured in the static free blasting cap pocket on the tarp. When stored, the tarp separates the firing wire from the firing device in the same pocket. The mine itself is stored in a separate pocket, along with a stake, grease pencil, and range card. Handy right?

    Blue Force Gear Ten-Speed Triple M4 Mag Pouch

    This is the Ten-Speed Triple M4 Mag Pouch from Blue Force Gear. When it first came out years ago, I was skeptical of its durability but I’m pleased to say that my reservations were ill-founded. Rather than losing elasticity or developing holes from wear at the corners of magazines, many of those early versions are still in service today. That’s thanks to the construction. They use a military-grade elastic combined with BFG’s ULTRAcomp laminate. Not only is it durable and low-profile but also lightweight. The Ten-Speed also incorporates their Helium Whisper attachment system which is PALS compatible.

    Designed specifically for CQC (close quarters combat) and tubular assaults, the elastic keeps the magazines in place, yet right at your fingertips. There are no buckles or straps to fool with.
