In response to customers looking for a PALS backed harness for their Kit Bag, Hill People Gear came up with this prototype. If they decide to place it into production, it will be an add-on item and not a substitution at time of purchase.

Sunday, September 6th, 2015

Mini-IFAK-System-Black-1500

ATS’ Mini IFAK System is a two-piece kit, designed to be mounted on a duty belt. It consists of an outer pouch, and an inner tray. The pouch is constructed of 500D Cordura fabric, with a fold-over, Velcro-closed adjustable belt loop. The inner tray is a custom, smaller version of the ATS Medical Insert. A red nylon loop at the top of the insert makes it easy to remove from the pouch. The tray has two elastic loops for organizing medical supplies, and is stiffened with HDPE for rigidity, making it easy to deploy on the ground next to a casualty.

The Mini IFAK System is available in Black, and is covered by ATS’ lifetime warranty.

For this week’s Friday Focus, we’re taking a look at the Dee Luxe AGB Suspenders. Building upon the utility offered by the Assaulters Gun Belt line of accessories, the Dee Luxe suspenders increase support and comfort, and give the wearer an option to forgo a load carrying vest and go old school with belt and suspenders. As you can see in the image below, the Dee Luxe Suspenders allow the wearer to turn their entire AGB load out into a quick chest rig-style setup.

High Speed Gear – NVG Counterbalance Pouch

Monday, August 31st, 2015

SWANSBORO, North Carolina – Aug. 31, 2015 – High Speed Gear has a history of producing some of the most versatile tactical pouches and platforms in the industry.

IMG_6883

In keeping with that standard, High Speed Gear is proud to release its new NVG Counterbalance Pouch, designed by RE Factor Tactical. This pouch is designed specifically for individuals using night vision systems with a battery pack attachment. The pouch comes with two .45-pound steel plates to give the user an additional counterweight of just under 1 pound. When combined with the battery pack and batteries, the total counterweight can equal up to around 1.5 pounds to improve balance and comfort with NVGs.

Unlike other counterweights on the market, the Counterbalance Pouch does not impede the use of the NVG battery pack. The pouch is designed to allow the user to utilize the on-off toggle switch, as well as easily change out batteries without removing the battery pack or pouch. Furthermore, we added three small pockets that can be used to stash survival gear, batteries, or any other small mission-essential items. The pack comes with an outer loop panel for adhesion of patches or the addition of illumination marking equipment. It also includes a hook panel on the back to adhere to the back of common Ops-Core/Team Wendy helmets and two bungee support tabs that can adhere to the sides of the helmet to help secure the pouch in place in austere environments.

The NVG Counterbalance Pouch is available now. Made 100% in the USA by High Speed Gear, and designed by Veterans at RE Factor.

SEK Solutions – SEKURE Weapon Storage Systems

Thursday, August 27th, 2015

SEKURE Weapon Storage Systems is the Weapon Storage series from SEK Solutions. They are local to us and we recently had a chance to check them out. I came away impressed. Long gone are the old M16 weapon racks, and good riddance. They were designed to secure an M16 with no accessories fitted to the weapon. These days, military units, LE agencies and other related activities store amd issue a wide variety of weapon systems, often with sights, lasers and lights attached. They need to be secure, yet accessible in operational configuration. The SEKURE line meets these requirements.

Constructed from 16 gauge steel, the SEKURE racks feature a 7-point docking mechanism with single or double hasps, and incorprate mounting holes for bolting directly to a surface or combining multiple racks together. Their product line includes stackable weapon racks, storage specific for pistols and tasers, weapon storage lockers, weapon & evidence security racks, and more.

Here you can see comparison photos between SEKURE’s storage capabilities and features and others commonly found in arms rooms. In the examples, SEKURE is on the left while the competitors are on the middle and right:
