Non-Velcro Inner/Outer Gun Belt System by Norden Outdoors
Wednesday, November 24th, 2021Norden Outdoors is pleased to announce the DarkSide inner/outer belt system, their solution to today’s hook and loop gun belts. Norden has taken the popular EDC belt from Boxer Outdoors called the Apogee and developed a ratcheting system that uses opposing force to attach an outer belt to the Apogee comfortably.
The attachment hardware that makes the DarkSide unique is machined from 7075 billet aluminum and was designed and manufactured in Bigfork, Montana. The two belt options are both designed and manufactured in the US. The Elite belt is a 2″ TPU coated webbing that has laser-cut MOLLE compatible attachments. The ends of the belt are made of the same material and are RF Welded to the main strap. The nylon version is constructed like the standard shooter’s belt you are used to seeing, made from two layers of 1.75″ US made nylon with bar tacked MOLLE compatible PALS. The ends are bar tacked to the webbing and are made from ULTRAcomp® laminate materials.

The bottom section of the back panel features a VELCRO® Brand fastener for modularity and quick attach/detach. For easy access the pouch mounts horizontally with a side opening. This allows the end user to have the ability to quickly reach back and grab their gas mask on the move. To ensure the Gas Mask Pouch is secured, the Helium Whisper® Assault Back Panel Type 1 design includes a security strap that fastens using GTSR 3/4″ side release buckles. The Gas Mask Pouch fits AVON FM53 or similar sized mask. All hook and loop material used is color matching Velcro® Brand Fasteners. All materials and workmanship are 100% made in the USA.
The 8 Round Capacity, 40MM Insert was designed to fit in the upper-zipper pouch of the Helium Whisper® Assault Back Panel Type 1. To increase modularity, the design includes carry handles and VELCRO® flaps on the sides that can be opened to allow the user to lay the insert flat. Hook and loop fasteners are located on the front and back to secure the insert inside the upper-zipper pouch of the Helium Whisper® Assault Back Panel Type 1. The 8 Round Capacity, 40MM Insert is designed to fit standard size 40 mm ammunition or similar sized less than lethal/incendiary devices. This volume adjustable bag for hydration systems is designed for a 1 to 1.5-liter hydration bladder. A zipper on the bottom can be used to adjust the volume for up to 3-liter bladders or to make space for other gear.
This low-profile bag is specially designed to be used with all TT Plate Carriers and features a MOLLE reverse system. The front side of the bag features a laser-cut MOLLE system and a hook-and-loop closure patch on the front side (loop) to attach name patches to. Needs four MOLLE loops.
