Milipol 19 – Tardigrade Tactical’s Quantum Duty & Gunfighter Belt

Monday, November 25th, 2019

Denmark’s Tardigrade Tactical released their new Quantum Duty & Gunfighter Belt during Milipol.

The problem with so many belts for law enforcement officers is that in order to remain rigid, they end up being thick. Tardigarde’s solution is to incorporate three compartments in the belt which accept rigid polymer inserts to stiffen the belt. In this way, the user can stiffen the left and right front area for load carriage but leave the rear flexible for comfort, or stiffen the areas as needed.

When the inserts are removed, the belt can be folded for transportation or storage which has attracted shooting sports enthusiasts.

Additionally, the belt is cut on a curve to make it more comfortable.

Velcro lined, the Quantum Duty & Gunfighter Belt interfaces with many inner pant belts like Tardigrade’s own Low Profile Laminate Belt.

Finally, the belt is compatible with 50mm pouches and is PALS compatible.

Milipol 19 – NFM Introduces GENTO Duty Belt

Thursday, November 21st, 2019

The new GENTO Duty Belt from Norway’s NFM is designed primarily for LE.

The idea behind GENTO was that Law Enforcement officers generally have to choose between comfort and stability of their load which is born primarily on the duty belt. By introducing polymer into the equation, they could make the belt much thinner and yet retain rigidity.

Additionally, GENTO offers lumbar support. That large module at the back not only increases stability but it houses an adjustment system which allows the wearer to loosen or tighten the belt from the rear.

Here you can see the adjustments on either side of the rear of GENTO.

Additionally, you can configure different rear panels if the need arises.

Additionally, duty gear can be fitted to the belt and stabilized in place with Velcro fittings so they won’t slide around.

Max Talk 44: British Infantry Belt Kit: Review JayJays Gen 4 Web Gear

Monday, November 11th, 2019

This is the forty-fourth installment of ‘Max Talk Monday’ which shares select episodes from a series of instructional videos. Max Velocity Tactical (MVT) has established a reputation on the leading edge of tactical live fire and force on force training. MVT is dedicated to developing and training tactical excellence at the individual and team level.

This is an instructional session on the applicability and use of the British Army belt kit (webbing), focusing specifically on a review of the JayJays Gen 4 web gear, in this case the commanders version. www.jayjaysbrecon.co.uk

Gen IV Commanders Description:

The Gen IV Commanders is a totally flexible belt kit system where the pouches are permanently fixed to the pad.

For 20 years JayJays has been the UK market leader in permanently fixed belt kit systems and since the first concept was designed our belt kit has been constantly developed. Subtle design changes and features over the years have made this the preferred belt kit of the British Soldier.
Fixed pouches allow us to cater for users with a small waist size. Due to clever design we are able to keep the same number of pouches required and sew them to different length pads, making the belt kit a perfect fit for the user.

The design of the Gen IV reduces bounce of the belt kit. When all the pouches are full they stabilise against each other making a solid form that does not bounce or rock. This combined with the spacer pad ensures an ergonomic comfortable fit.
The latest version of the Gen IV comprises of all polymer hardware making it rust resistant in jungle environments. The addition of the polymer hardware also reduces overall weight without compromising strength.
Spacetec spacer fabric is used for padding to allow it to be as breathable as possible but still very flexible so it hugs the body.

MATBOCK Strap Claws

Friday, November 1st, 2019

MATBOCK is pleased to introduce the Strap Claw.

The set attaches to the MOLLE on the front of the plate carrier and holds the backpack straps for the operator without the need for a chest strap.  This allows for removal of the pack without having to undo an extra strap and keeping the motion of removing the pack exactly the same.

The Strap Claws also keep the shoulder area free and clear for proper rifle butt placement as well as alleviates pressure on the brachial artery preventing poor blood flow down the arms.

Each set comes in OD Green with MATBOCK Skins for MultiCam and Black in each package. The Strap Claws are available now for $35.00 per set.
