OR – Morakniv

Wednesday, August 5th, 2015

A lot of guys use Morakniv’s sheath knives due to their price point and reliability.  Now, Morakniv’s has introduced a black blade version of their most popular seller, the Companion.

In addition, they’ve created a MOLLE version of the sheath.  The Swedish made knife features a 2.5 mm blade of 12C27 stainless steel with a nonslip rubberized handle.

OR – Wise Company – 5 Day Survival Pack

Wednesday, August 5th, 2015

Wise Company is well known for long-term food storage but they’ve introduced a 64 item 5-Day Survival Backpack.  What I find interesting about this pack is that it retails for under $70.00.

Sure, it’s just the basics but it would be great for the trunk or closet; just in case.  You’ll probably want to add a few items like cordage and a multi-tool but you’ve got some basic food which is generally what drives up the price on these packs.

ORWM – Atlas 46

Saturday, January 24th, 2015

The legend John Carver has applied years and years of tactical nylon production toward the manufacturing market. Ever since he’s lived in Montana, he’s been doing lots of DIY projects.

He makes a belt system with a variety of pouches that can be quickly swapped out.

The pouches themselves are also modular with a simple attachment system. The drill holster takes some design cues from pistol holsters including a shock cord to keep it secure. Additionally, the material extends down further because so many carry their holster with a bit installed which can cut the user or his clothing.

Think of the Stretch Alpha Sweater as a stretch puffy coat. It combines a 4-way woven Tweave shell with The height breathable Alpha insulation from Polartec along with Polartec lightweight Grid Power Dry lining.

Below is a component of Beyond’s upcoming Arctic subsystem. The Cache Arctic parka utilizes a Berry compliant synthetic down which is a hybrid PrimaLoft and natural down. The PrimaLoft helps draw moisture away from the down in order to keep you warm.
