Morgan Advanced Materials, a world leader in the application of advanced composite material technology, has unveiled its newest range of lightweight combat helmets, the LASA AC914 and AC915.
The LASA AC914 and LASA AC915 draw upon the expertise of the Composite and Defence business of Morgan Advanced Materials. Morgan has a wealth of experience in composite materials and an established pedigree within the military and law enforcement sectors, having sold in excess of one million helmets worldwide. The helmets’ revolutionary designs deliver outstanding ballistic performance and comfort to the wearer. Made using a hybrid of composite materials and incorporating Morgan’s proprietary technology, the helmets’ shells are approximately 30% lighter than previous generation technology and deliver outstanding protection against ballistic threats, fragments and blunt trauma.
In full compliance with NIJ 0101.06 level IIIA, the LASA AC914 and AC915 offer an unparalleled level of protection against blunt trauma and 9mm rounds, maximising user safety in combat situations. The high-cut LASA AC915 weighs little more than 1kg and allows for greater situational awareness, making it ideal for special operations. Similarly, the AC914, with its full-cut design for combat operations, offers unparalleled ballistic and blunt trauma protection – particularly impressive given that it weighs a mere 1.2kg (2.6lb). In both instances, the AC914 and AC915 offer exceptional levels of fragmentation protection and come with optional visor and mandible guard to provide greater high impact protection for the eyes and face.
Available in a variety of configurations, the LASA AC914 and AC915 are compatible with in-service equipment including night vision goggles as well as an array of other accessories. While the helmets have been designed to offer the greatest levels of protection, the configurable suspension systems also deliver optimum levels of user comfort.
Duncan Eldridge, President of Morgan Advanced Materials – Composites and Defence Systems, explained: “we are delighted to launch the LASA AC915 and AC914 helmets, the helmets are a result of three years of materials and product development, which have also been applied to our next generation helmet for Canada. Our expert knowledge in composite materials and application has once again allowed us to create a range of helmets that offer a level of protection at a weight beyond that typically afforded by standard ultra-lightweight helmet solutions.

I got a chance to check these knives and lights out during a recent media event in Phoenix. I really like the knives and they will be popular thanks to their features and price.
Here are some closer photos depicting features.
I didn’t get much time with the lights. It was broad daylight and we had lots to go over.
However, I have got to say that this integrated finger loop is impressive.

Team Safariland Rob Leatham Wins 2015 WSSSC and WSRC Title
Leatham defends his title at the back-to-back Western States Revolver Championship
ONTARIO, California – Safariland congratulates Team Safariland member Rob Leatham for winning the 2015 Western States Single Stack Championship (WSSSC) title in the Single Stack Championship and defending his 2014 Western States Relvolver Championship (WSRC) title in the Revolver Championship both held in Mesa, Arizona on November 12-15, 2015.
Leatham is beyond thrilled to have won the 2015 WSSSC title. This well-designed and perfect-weather match is one of Leatham’s favorite competitions of the year. “I look forward to the 50-yard standard exercise each year and really appreciate that the match Director, Steve Horsman, and stage designers have kept it well-organized and maintained its tradition.”
The tightly-contested WSSSC title has been won and lost over the years by a mere handful of points. This year, Leatham had just one miss penalty and one no-shoot penalty, landing him at the top of the leader board for the first time since 2007. “Top of the line equipment, from my belt, holster and mag pouches to a finely tuned pistol, has a tremendous amount to do with each and every one of my wins. It’s something that I never have to think twice about, and allows me to focus on my shooting,” stated Leatham.
At the back-to-back Western States Revolver Championship, Leatham, defended his 2014 WSRC title, winning by more than 120 points. Leatham won six of the 12 stages and finished among the top five in the remaining six stages in the match. Leatham has won the WSRC all three years, since its inception in 2013.
“Shooting a revolver match is a challenge and can be hard on the ego. Most of us at the WSRC usually compete in other (semi-auto) divisions. We are used to having more rounds, lighter triggers, much faster times and sub two-second reloads. I have a lot of respect for my fellow competitiors who have worked hard on their revolver skills and shown dramatic improvement. Cross training with this type of event should pay off by making you a better shooter all around,” said Leatham.

SWANSBORO, North Carolina – Dec. 9, 2015 – High Speed Gear has a history of producing some of the most versatile tactical pouches and platforms in the industry. A proven performer, HSGI continues to show tremendous popularity in tactical markets worldwide. Our lengthy list of top tier operators includes U.S. and allied special forces, state and local tactical units, and hundreds of federal agencies.
In keeping with that standard, High Speed Gear is proud to release its Slick Plate Carrier-Bravo, Modular Plate Carrier-Bravo, Range/Go Bag, Shot Shell Tray V.2 and Gas Mask/Spent Mag Pouch V.2.
The SPC-Bravo and MPC-Bravo are a natural progression of our versatile SPC/MPC line of plate carriers. Both feature the same 500D Cordura plate pockets, interior mesh cushions and HSGI neoprene shoulder pads of the original SPC and MPC, but now feature nylon and Velcro loop PALS on the front and back for further customization and adaptability. The SPC-Bravo also utilizes two-inch Gripper Elastic side straps, uniquely enabling it to be paired with any of the pouches from our belt-mounted line. This makes it the perfect plate carrier for law enforcement needs. The MPC-Bravo features a Sure-Grip Padded Belt for further comfort and stability, as well as our Chest Platform, both of which provide additional attachment points for your customization.
The Range/Go Bag is a 15″ x7.5″ x10″, 1000D Cordura bag with five rows of PALS webbing on either exterior side and four rows of loop PALS on either interior wall. The stiffener sewn into the bottom of the bag offers a self-standing feature, and a removable, padded, internal divider allows for protection and separation of internal items. This bag can be hand carried via the reinforced-webbing handles or shoulder carried via the 1.5″-webbing shoulder strap. Eight D-rings, one at each corner, further enables the bag to be customized for backpack-style carrying.
The Shot Shell Tray V.2 is an updated and improved design to our mountable shotgun shell card. The new HSGI Shot Shell Tray design consists of two Velcro hook-backed, rubberized-nylon web platforms with five shell slots each. The rubberized-webbing loops will hold (10) 12 gauge shotgun shells. A Velcro loop-backed MOLLE panel offers compatibility with PALS platforms. Either tray be attached to any Velcro loop surface or inserted securely into a standard TACO.
The Gas Mask/Spent Mag Pouch V.2 can be used as a gas mask pouch or dump pouch, and can be worn as a drop leg or with a shoulder strap. This pouch holds up to the largest popular tactical gas mask models. Both the drop leg components and shoulder strap are easily removed for full conversion to either carry style.
These products are available now.

Harrisonburg, Virginia, December 4, 2015 – TSSi is pleased to announce the release of its newest
TACOPS product, the Rolling Mass Casualty Kit.
Close to a decade ago, TSSi provided our U.S. military forces with the first viable combat Mass Casualty Response Kit designed to provide emergency trauma treatment for 16-20 service members subjected to life-threatening injuries. Offering the first Rolling Mass Casualty Kit configured inside of a rolling duffle, TSSi once again exemplifies our motto of ‘Innovation, Not Imitation.’
