SENTRY Tactical Launches E-Commerce Division; Taps Brandon Shirey to Build and Lead the Charge

The past 24 months have brought new challenges, and the industry has been forced to adopt new methods to meet growing needs at both consumer and distribution levels.

Virginia Beach, Va. Shirey is a military veteran having served in the US Navy. He has 20+ years in the Tactical / Shooting Sports industry, and was a former team member with the SENTRY Team while at BLACKHAWK! He holds a B.S in Business Administration and Information Technology from Old Dominion University. With a real passion for the outdoors, Brandon had founded and operated a camping / hiking outfitters business for 15 years with two store locations, most recently located in Northwest, Georgia.

New Thales 2.75-inch Rocket (FZ275) Certified for Firing from Arnold Defense LAND-LGR4 “FLETCHER” Launcher

Arnold Defense, the St. Louis based manufacturer of 70mm/2.75-inch rocket launchers, together with Thales, have achieved formal certification to fire the new Thales FZ275 70mm/2.75-inch Laser Guided Rocket (LGR) from the Arnold Defense LAND-LGR4 “FLETCHER” rocket launcher, during recent testing in Sweden.

This new certification of the FZ275 LGR, extends the range of Thales rockets that are compatible and certified to be launched from Arnold Defense rocket launchers and in particular, the LAND-LGR 4 “FLETCHER” launcher. The combination of the “FLETCHER” ground-based launcher and the FZ275 LGR (lightest and longest range 70mm/2.75-inch LGR in its class), delivers precision guided accuracy against fixed and mobile targets, with minimal collateral damage, to dismounted rapid reaction forces. This type of capability has typically been limited to aviation-mounted platforms.

Thanks to features such as lightweight design, state of art propellant grain and reduced FOD, Thales 70mm/2.75-ich rockets are used worldwide by more than 75 armed forces across more than 50 countries. The rockets have also been officially adopted by many major platform Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs) where their performance and reliability are clearly recognized and the ability to deliver a single rocket solution for air, vehicle and ground based platforms provides the ultimate battlefield utility.

Arnold Defense’s launchers are versatile and allow the user to select from a range of certified rocket systems to suit their specific needs, or their own in-service inventory. Adding the new Thales FZ275 70mm/2.75-inch rockets to the Arnold Defense certified rocket portfolio significantly extends their global capability offering.

MARS-L is a weapon-mounted laser rangefinder (LRF) which is purpose-built for the operational end user, with a heavy focus on Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) when compared to existing systems. The MARS-L achieves this while maintaining required capability attributes, such as a long-range eye safe (1550nm) LRF, visible pointer, on- board ballistic computer (Applied Ballistics), and a large OLED display to allow the user to navigate the simple and intuitive user interface.

Beretta Holding Group Companies Temporarily Halt Participation In Large-Scale Indoor Events

Due to the sudden and dramatic increase of COVID-19 infections during the past 2 weeks, including many breakthrough cases, the Beretta Holding Group companies in the U.S.A. (Beretta U.S.A., Benelli U.S.A, Burris, and Steiner eOptics) have announced the immediate suspension of participation of their employees in large-scale indoor gatherings. This decision was made because of near-term staffing challenges and concerns about the ability to prevent contagion in enclosed, crowded spaces.

Regrettably, this means that the companies will not be present in their booths this month at the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) SHOT Show in Las Vegas. The Beretta Holding Group companies in the U.S.A. confirm their full and continued support for NSSF’s mission and have already pledged their exhibit renewal for the 2023 SHOT Show.
