Gentex Corporation Previews Advanced Concept for Ops-Core RAILINK System

Integrated Headborne Platform to support elite military and law enforcement

CARBONDALE, PA, MAY 16, 2022 – Gentex Corporation, a global leader in personal protection and situational awareness solutions for defense forces, emergency responders, and industrial personnel, announced today a preview of its advanced concept for Ops-Core® ARC rails for FAST® helmet systems, the Ops-Core RAILINK® power and data system. With RAILINK, Gentex Corporation unveils a highly integrated, versatile, open architecture, scalable ecosystem for current and future headborne systems. RAILINK is powered by a central helmet power center, feeding power to, and sharing data between, an array of smart nodes and a VAS/NVG interface that allows the user to operate a wide variety of sensor systems. With power and data being run through smart nodes, external cabling is eliminated, simplifying helmet set up, streamlining snag hazards, improving power management efficiency, optimizing open data sharing protocol and clearing ARC rail space for future technology insertion.

MOHOC Launches New Camera to Maximize Situational Awareness

A Real-Time Video Sensor at the Tactical Edge

SOFIC, Tampa, FL. MOHOC, Inc., creator of the world’s first military-optimized helmet cameras, announced today the launch of the all-new MOHOC® 2 Camera.

While the original MOHOC® Camera is used primarily for recording video to an SD card, the MOHOC® 2 Camera is built to stream real-time video over mobile ad hoc networking (MANET) radios. Designed as a live sensor for the hyper-enabled operator, it maximizes situational awareness at the tactical edge.

We thoroughly studied this input, innovated, and MOHOC® 2 now marks our evolution from an after-action review device to a real-time streaming tool for mission-critical information.”

It is smaller, lighter, and simpler to operate than the original MOHOC®, but with the same low-profile, helmet-contour, and military-grade ruggedization. Additional features include a rotating lens, Curvelock™ Velcro® mount, and connectors canted to minimize snagging.

The camera is designed with extensive input from leading C5ISR companies for plug-and-play, resilient comms within integrated tactical networks. Built in multiple video formats tailored to the protocol of specific tactical radios, the first MOHOC® 2 model (released today) outputs SDI video compatible with the Persistent Systems MPU5 MANET radio. Additional models with IP, USB, and HDMI video formats are expected starting in Q3, and specialized ports and connectors are available for custom-build solutions. Ukraine T-Shirt Sales Generate a $100,000 Donation

ANOKA, Minnesota – May 13, 2022 – Federal Ammunition along with sister brand Remington Ammunition is proudly sending a check of $100,000 in support of crisis relief for the citizens of the war-torn country of Ukraine. A t-shirt campaign supporting the relief efforts generated great response and the proceeds from the sales reached the milestone in less than two months.

“This campaign and the tremendous response exceeded our expectations forcing several re-orders of the t- shirts,” says Jason Vanderbrink, President of Federal Ammunition, Remington, CCI, Speer. “I’m so proud of our loyal customers for being willing to pitch in and support the people of Ukraine who are suffering because of the horrors of war. Safariland Brand Ambassador KC Eusebio Takes Home 9th World Speed Shooting Championship

ONTARIO, Calif. – KC Eusebio continued his storied success at last weekend’s World Speed Shooting Championship. Eusebio finished First Overall in the Open Division for the ninth time—becoming the first-ever shooter to do so. Eusebio runs a Safariland 015 Holster and Model 773 Mag Pouches in a full schedule of competitions.

KC Eusebio’s shooting career began at the age of eight, and for much of his adult life, he has been a regular atop the podium. Eusebio has numerous World Championships under his belt in several disciplines. He hails from the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit and has taught hundreds of soldiers and civilians.

“Being the first to win nine World Speed Shooting Championships is definitely a highlight of my shooting career,” said Eusebio. “Speed is the name of the game and there might not be any shooting competition where the speed and quantities of the draw play such an impact on your performance as it does in the World Speed Shooting Championships. Once again, Safariland has helped me capture another milestone victory at the highest level of competition shooting. The World Speed Shooting Championship is considered by many to be the pinnacle of handgun competitions across the globe. It pits the top shooters in the world against each other and is sponsored by the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) and the Steel Challenge Shooting Association.

When he is not competing, Eusebio is an avid hunter and conservationist and continues to instruct shooters of all types and skill levels, including the Special Operations community.
