Raven Concealment Systems Launches New Products

Just in time for Black Friday, Raven Concealment Systems dropped a slew of new product releases all at once. These include three new additions to their OWB holster line (two Peruns, and one Perun LC), a new OWB accessory for the Perun and Perun LC line, and a new addition to their pistol optic mount line, the Balor.

Lantac – LA-SF15™ Rifles & Pistols

Lantac’s new range of .223/5.56 & 300 Blackout rifles & pistols are based on our LA-SF15™ receiver sets that are precision machined from 7075-T6 forgings.

The USR™ (Upper Standard Receiver) has a deliberately undersized barrel extension bore so that barrel fit is as tight as possible and the cam pin recess has been improved with a radius cut on its edge that helps reduce cam pin wear in that area.

The LA-SF15™ lower receiver is again machined from 7075-T6 forgings and features an internally Flared Magwell to assist in easer reloading and insertion of the magazine. The rear takedown hole has a spot face machined into it to make accessing the pin easier too.

Both receivers are Type3 Class2 Hardcoat Anodised to MIL-A-3625.

Each rifle comes complete with our E-BCG® Enhanced Bolt & Carrier, manufactured from case hardened 8620 steel. The Bolt is machined form Carpenter 158 and is MPI tested, parts are then QPQ Nitrided to finish. The patented E-BCG® features our CP-R360™ domed head cam pin (also patented) that reduces friction and wear within the upper.

The gas system on each rifle features our Nitrided stainless gas tubes and Swiss Lathe machined gas blocks. The 300 Blackout rifles all feature pistol length gas systems for reliability and the .223/5.56 rifles vary in length with an Intermediate gas length on the 14.5’’ PATROL rifle that offers extremely soft shooting.

Barrels are manufactured from 416R Stainless Steel and have a 1:7 Twist on the .223/5.56 and a 1:8 on the 300 Blackout. The .223/5.56 are chambered 223 Wylde. All barrels feature 11° crowns with ½-28TPI on the .223/5.56 and 5/8-24 on the 300 Blackout.

Each rifle ships with a DGN556B™ Dragon® Muzzle Brake for ultimate control and this system can be upgraded to mount Gemtech or SilencerCo Suppressors as well as the new BMD2 Blast Mitigation Device that is coming soon.

The supplied Handguards are the new SPADA®-ML light, in varying lengths to suit each barrel, they feature M-Lok slots along their lengths at the 3,6 & 9 o’clock positions.

The rifles feature Ambi Safety selectors, high quality small parts and QMS Triggers from ALG.

Furniture comes in the form of Magpul MOE Grips, Moe Stock, CTR Stock, MOE Fixed A2 or the SB Tactical SBA3 Brace depending on the model. There is also a Law Tactical Folding option for all rifles & pistols other than the DMR.

All rifles & pistols ship with a 30Rnd Magpul PMag and MBUS Backup Sights.

DroneShield Participates In British Army Autonomous Warrior 2018

DroneShield Limited (ASX:DRO or DRO.AU) (“DroneShield” or the “Company”) is pleased to advise its participation in The British Army’s Army Warfighting Experiment (Autonomous Warrior) 2018.

The British Army has launched this four-week exercise, with a Battlegroup from the 1st Armoured Infantry Brigade (United Kingdom) providing the exercising troops and taking responsibility of command and control. British soldiers will test and evaluate the effectiveness of robotic and autonomous systems (RAS) on the battlefield. These technological advances will play a key role in the Army’s strike capability, ensuring British forces remain unmatched on the global stage. Autonomous Warrior will develop capabilities in surveillance which will greatly improve the effectiveness of long-range and precision targeting by service personnel.

The UK Defence Minister Mark Lancaster stated, “Our Armed Forces continue to push the limits of innovative warfare to ensure that we stay ahead of any adversaries or threats faced on the battlefield. Autonomous Warrior sets an ambitious vision for Army operations in the 21st Century as we integrate drones, unmanned vehicles and personnel into a world-class force for decades to come.”

The exercise is the result of a large-scale collaboration between the British Army, the Royal Navy, the Royal Air Force, the United States Army, the UK Ministory of Defence, the UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory and the industry participants who were invited to participate.

DroneShield was invited to participate in the exercise and is providing its DroneSentinelTM system to the British Army as a rapidly deployable, counterdrone system to enable troops to detect and defend against hostile drones. Oleg Vornik, DroneShield’s CEO commented “we were tasked with training and advising British troops on the deployment and operation of our DroneSentinelTM system. This allowed the troops to independently operate and integrate the capability, using the system to autonomously defend against drones and also inform commanders about the presence of threat drones”.

Designed for the AR15/M4 platform but allowing for use with wide range of non-AR15/M4 platforms.

Manufactured using the newest material technology and processes, the magazines with their next generation long glass fiber polymer construction offer the trifecta of perfection in structural performance; strength, durability and stiffness. The stiffness allows the magazine to maintain its integrity without additional weight with an additional benefit of top performance even at elevated temperatures. The longer length reinforcing fibers produce increased strength and prevents deformation and polymer fatigue. Confidence in handling the new Extreme Duty 5.56 mags is a piece of cake, even during weather or duress. The front and rear of the gripping surface is ribbed for a positive grip, even with gloves. An oversized bolt-catch provides enhanced reliability of the bolt-catch operation. The flared floor plate allows for an easier grip in handling and extraction and one-hand reloads. Wrapping up the multiple benefits to the newest addition to the MFT magazine line is a paint dox matrix to allow for easy marking and identification of magazines and the tool-less disassembly with the double floor plate safety release tabs.

The MARCH Belt was designed to work on the CRO Gunfighter™ Belt, a very well made inner/outer gun belt featuring horizontal and vertical PALs to allow for scaling the pouches based on need. The belt is extremely rigid and holds in place for extended wear.

In addition to the CRO Gunfighter™ Belt, The MARCH Belt is sold with five pouches and two tourniquet covers. The Small and Medium Gen Med pouches have CRO’s signature bungee retention panel with vertical pockets to allow customization.
