Friday, September 14th, 2018

Now Five Total Color Options to Match Your Mission or Style375FAF88-6241-4680-920E-4C8C00B837E7

CLEVELAND, OH (Sept. 14, 2017) – Cleveland-based Team Wendy® announced the release of three additional colors of its M-216 Ski Search and Rescue (SAR) helmet today. These three new color options – MultiCam® Alpine/Gray, MultiCam® Black/Gray and Red/Gray – bring the total number of available colors of the M-216 to five.

The helmet launched in Nov. 2017 with two colors: Black/Gray and White/Gray. Its hybrid shell design is two-tone; an ABS hard front shell provides reinforcement for mounted accessories while an in-mold polycarbonate rear shell reduces weight.

“The M-216 is the only alpine-rated helmet of its kind, providing the special operations community with a platform that can be scaled up or down to meet the mission requirements,” said Jose Rizo-Patron, CEO of Team Wendy. “In the helmet’s second season, we wanted to bring additional colors to the marketplace so that professionals and everyday skiers alike have options to suit their needs.”

Different from traditional ski helmets, the M-216 incorporates mounting capabilities not previously available to operators in any ski or snow rated helmet. Utilizing features originally developed for the military and tactical community, the helmet provides side accessory rails for mounting a variety of lights and cameras, and a glass-reinforced polycarbonate shroud for attaching headlamps and cameras. A machined aluminum Wilcox® shroud insert is available by request for mounting night vision and thermal optics devices. Every helmet includes a Princeton Tec® task light (choice of Switch-MPLS or Switch-Rail) that seamlessly integrates with the accessory rail. The helmet has also been optimized for comfort and stability featuring a Boa® Fit System for precise fit adjustment and single-handed quick release, and an under-the-chin retention system with a Fidlock® magnetic buckle for one-handed operation even while wearing gloves.

The protection offered by the M-216 Ski SAR helmet is highlighted by meeting ASTM F2040-11 for recreational snow sports and BS EN 1077:2007 Class B for alpine skiing and snowboarding.

Black/Gray, Red/Gray and White/Gray retail at $328.95 while MultiCam Alpine/Gray and MultiCam Black/Gray retail at $340.95. All five colors are available for sale on TeamWendy.com and through authorized Team Wendy distributors; and will be available on Amazon Prime in the coming weeks. The three new color options are available for pre-sale with fulfillment in October.

PPSS Group Launch New Stab Resistant Anti-Riot Suit

Thursday, September 13th, 2018

A brand new stab resistant anti-riot suit has been launched in order to effectively help protect those professionals who have to deal with prison riots, public disorder, mass searches or other serious disturbances.

The types of weapons being used in these conflicts include knives or improvised man-made edged weapon, snooker queues, shanks made out of broken mirrors, glass or ceramic tiles, razor blades, sharpened bed or table frame legs, timber, socks filled with snooker balls, broken bottles, hypodermic needles and spikes, fire extinguishers and rocks or bricks and so on.

Robert Kaiser, CEO of PPSS Group, strongly believes their new stab resistant anti-riot suit, which offers truly incredible levels of protection from blunt force trauma as well as a high level of protection from edged weapons, will dramatically reduce the risk of physical injury in such incident.

He said: “For me to say my firm’s new Stab Resistant Anti-Riot Suit is definitely the appropriate type of safety equipment I felt like I needed to have unquestionable physical evidence in place to back up my claim.”

“We decided to produce a product demo video, which assures our clients and customers around the world that our equipment will reliably protect you from the most realistic threats and risks you will face.”

“Our rather powerful video has been produced to offer the wearer real peace of mind.  You can trust its performance on focus entirely on the task on hand.”

PPSS Group’s new stab resistant anti-riot suit offers unlimited shelf life.  There is no biological, chemical or physical evidence even suggesting that the protective raw materials being used will degrade over a 20 years period. This is of clear financial benefits to Governments Agencies, as commonly used safety equipment made out of Kevlar® would require replacing frequently.

Should you have any questions in reference to stab resistant anti-riot suits, then please contact PPSS Group directly.

NRA Carry Guard Expo in Richmond CANCELLED Ahead of Forecasted Landfall of Hurricane Florence

Wednesday, September 12th, 2018

RICHMOND, Va. –The National Rifle Association has cancelled the second annual NRA Carry Guard Expo, which was scheduled for Sept. 14-16, 2018 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Virginia, due to the impending threat of severe weather associated with Hurricane Florence.

IMG_7411

The cancellation was made in the interest of public safety due to the forecasted arrival of Category 4 Hurricane Florence in the mid-Atlantic region this forthcoming weekend, and the resulting declaration of a State of Emergency by the Governor of Virginia. This decision required careful deliberation and concern for the safety of attendees, exhibitors and others involved with the event.

Customers who purchased event tickets or tickets to paid workshops will receive refunds for their purchases.

Despite this major weather event being beyond human control, the NRA regrets any inconvenience caused by this decision. We look forward to welcoming guests and exhibitors next year to the 2019 NRA Carry Guard Expo, scheduled for Sept. 6-8, 2019, in Fort Worth, Texas.

F4 Defense Enhanced Battle Rifle Now Available in 224 Valkyrie

Wednesday, September 12th, 2018

F4 Defense is proud to announce the release of the F4-15 Enhanced Battle Rifle (EBR) chambered in 224 Valkyrie.  Some very bold statements were made last year concerning the performance of the Valkyrie; a cartridge based on a .30 Rem/6.8 SPC case necked down to accommodate a .224 projectile.

We rarely jump on “new fad” calibers, but we had to test and evaluate whether this cartridge could live up to the hype surrounding it.  We can confidently say it’s a damn good cartridge.  It’s not quite a .22 Grendel, but the fact that you can buy off the shelf ammunition is critical to those that don’t hand load.

DC5866D2-58E9-4469-8EC2-70F434B38DFD

After testing various twist rates and barrel lengths, optimized for the 90gr Sierra Match Kings and now with the long anticipated Hornady 88 Grain ELD Match ammunition; F4 Defense settled on a 20” 1×7 twist because it just plain works. The “need” for a tighter twist is simply not correct and we’ve proven it, it’s not surprising that you see manufacturers now jumping off the tight twist and going with a 7. A tighter twist than necessary lessens barrel life and can also restrict you from using a wide range of projectiles. Our F4 EBR consistently shot sub ½ MOA with pre-production Federal Gold Medal Match so we’re confident that Federal can work out the kinks and produce ammo at the same quality as the earlier lots. We know what it’s capable of and it’s truly impressive!

Persistent’s Low-SWAP Mobile Ad Hoc Networking Embedded Module Receives New Security Validation

Monday, September 10th, 2018

Now all Persistent Systems product offerings are validated at FIPS 140-2 Level 2
NEW YORK, N.Y. – Sep 05, 2018 – Persistent Systems, LLC (“Persistent”) announced today that its Embedded Module, a low-size, -weight and -power mobile ad hoc networking (MANET) unit for sensors and unmanned vehicles, received a Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 Level 2 security validation from the National Institute of Standards and Technology. This achievement confirms that all Persistent’s main products have achieved this level of validation, increasing usability for users with nonnegotiable requirements for FIPS 140-2 Level 2.

The new FIPS 140-2 Level 2 validation means the Embedded Module not only meets its Level 1 cryptographic data security requirement, but it also has in place physical security mechanisms, such as tamper-evidence, allowing it to handle sensitive data transmission.

“Now, all of our main products running the Wave Relay® MANET routing protocol are FIPS 140-2 Level 2,” said Eric Stern, Director of Engineering at Persistent Systems. “This is critical for our customers in the federal government, U.S. military and special operations, who require extremely secure networking.”

Persistent’s suite of Wave Relay® MANET products have been engineered to meet information assurance requirements in any use case, whether it is a person carrying an MPU5 or an Embedded Module built into a UAV, UGV, or sensor.  This is especially important for Wave Relay® Ecosystem partners who have incorporated Wave Relay® MANET radios into their products and are competing for government programs with FIPS requirements. The Wave Relay® Ecosystem is an alliance of industry-leading companies that develop and build products connected via the Wave Relay® MANET.

Persistent products have consistently met strict security requirements, with every product achieving both Level 1 and Level 2 FIPS 140-2 validation.

Persistent’s principal product is the handheld MPU5 MANET radio. The MPU5 allows users to transmit and relay voice, video, text, and sensor data in a true peer-to-peer fashion, without the need for external communications infrastructure. In July, it received its FIPS 140-2 Level 2 Security validation.

The Embedded Module, now likewise validated, delivers the same data networking capabilities, but in a smaller form factor, which can be built into an unmanned aircraft, ground robot or sensor. “This validation marks the Embedded Module as the go-to Wave Relay® MANET integrator for all systems and sensors,” Stern said.

Certificate numbers and information for each FIPS 140-2 validated Wave Relay® MANET product are as follows:

• Certificate #3183 – MPU5 – Level 1
• Certificate #3234 – MPU5 – Level 2
• Certificate #3180 – Embedded Module – Level 1
• Certificate #3259 – Embedded Module – Level 2
