With more than 175 years of experience in the military and tactical world, we combined expertise and research to develop a new line of gloves that would meet our standard of quality, provide superior functionality and address some of the top needs expressed by today’s customer base,” said Justin Roberts, Vertx Brand Manager.

All four gloves share similar features including articulated pre-curved fingers that provide exceptional fit and dexterity necessary for comfort and functionality. Strong hook and loop wrist closures ensure a secure fit and double needle topstitch reinforcement in all key areas maximizes the gloves life-span.

The gloves mimic human skin through the use of natural goatskin suede, enabling a better sense of touch. The middle finger and thumb also include conductive touchpoints for use with smartphones and other touchscreen technology.

In addition to the gloves’ shared characteristics, each style has a unique set of key features. The VaporCore™ Shooter has active particles permanently embedded within its fabric that allows the glove to dry five times faster, keeping the hand cool and comfortable. The Rapid LT incorporates an expertly constructed lightweight

design, pairing the suede with a two-way fabric providing free range of motion. This glove also benefits from color fastness, retaining its original color wear after wear. The FR Assaulter and FR Breacher both benefit from flame resistant qualities, as Kevlar® thread knitted throughout the pieces provide excellent durability. The FR Breacher also provides knuckle protection, guarding the back of the hand from harsh environments and general wear and tear.

Reptilia Announces New Riser for Piggy-Back Red Dot Optic Mounts

Thursday, April 5th, 2018

March 22, 2018 – Reptilia, an American design and manufacturing company creating innovative, premium grade products, has announced the release of the ROF Riser, an add-on plate for their popular ROF90 and ROF45 mounts.

The ROF Riser is a piggy-back red dot optic riser, used to move the mounted reflex sight 2.5mm further from the host scope’s centerline, providing extra clearance for tall turrets or larger-belled scope bodies.

Precision machined from billet 7075 aluminum and protected with Mil-spec type III hard coat finish, the ROF Riser weighs just 8.6g with a height of 2.5mm.

Initially available for the Triijicon RMR, the ROF Riser comes with longer 6-32 screws for mounting.

“Our products are designed to fill voids that will help make current products work more efficiently and effectively,” stated Eric Burt, Reptilia’s President and Head of Design. “We received a request for piggy-back reflex optic mounting solutions which drove us to create our ROF line. When mounting ROF90 and ROF45, some magnified optics have taller turrets or bells so they need more distance from centerline for the red dot to maintain sight picture. We took those requirements and developed something that is functional and efficient.”

Burt, one of the industry’s most respected and sought after Industrial Designers, founded Reptilia with the intent to address issues that were frequently overlooked in the firearms industry. Ranging from simple design tweaks to grander-scale innovations, Reptilia is the vehicle to bring ideas to fruition. Promising an insatiable need to innovate and bridge the gaps that challenge end users. Reptilia stand by their mantra of, “Superiority Through Evolution.” In a world that is always evolving, Reptilia strive to produce products and provide services that are unmatched in this industry.

The ROF Riser will be available April 2018, through the Reptilia web store at www.reptiliacorp.com/store.

April Designated Month of the Military Child

Thursday, April 5th, 2018

April is the Month of the Military Child, a time to recognize and appreciate military children for their service and sacrifice. Military children live with on-going challenges presented by frequent moves, family separations, and life transitions. They move 6-9 times during their K-12 years. In their own way, military-connected children serve, too.

As a demographic, military-connected children number almost 4 million, 75% of whom are school-age. Almost every school district in America includes military-connected children and youth whose parents serve or served in the Active, Guard, and Reserve components of the Armed Forces. Over 80% of these students attend U.S. public schools while less than 8% attend Department of Defense schools.

The Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) works to address the needs of military-connected children through programs, services, and resources designed to enlighten and empower parents, educators, other supportive adults and the students themselves. After more than a decade of war, the well-being of all military-connected children and youth depends on a strong, consistent network of supportive adults. Parents, teachers, mentors, and role models play a pivotal role in the life of a military child.

You can make a difference in the life of a military child by seeking opportunities to acknowledge their sacrifice, volunteering for organizations that support them, and recognizing their contribution to the nation. MCEC invites everyone to wear purple on Friday, April 13th, as a visible gesture of support for military kids, and to financially support MCEC in our endeavors to ensure military-connected students overcome challenges to become college, workforce and life-ready.

The Military Child Education Coalition serves the children of those who serve us all and encourages efforts that strengthen our military children and ensure opportunities for their quality education.
