Believe it or not, many of the new 2015 LEAF products are in this photo. I’ve seen them first hand and I’m impressed. If you’ll be at SHOT, be sure to check them out in booth #10526. If not, keep an eye out for our live coverage from the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas, January 19-23, 2015.
This press release and video come from our friends at HTC. Sounds like they’ve got quite show planned for this year’s Las Vegas excursion.
High Threat Concealment is looking forward to seeing their customers, friends, and industry partners at this year’s upcoming SHOT Show and the SHOT Show Industry Day at the Range. HTC will have a 25 yard pistol range with their friends from Salient Arms International. Attendees will be able to check out some of the amazing work from Salient Arms, and put their weapons through the paces, all while running HTC’s holsters and gun belt system. HTC and Salient Arms will be debuting some of their new releases for 2015.
Kris “Tanto” Paronto, co-author of the book 13 Hours In Benghazi, member of the CIA Annex security team, and all around American hero, will be hanging out in the HTC/ Salient Arms booth that afternoon to meet with people and sign books, as well as the HTC booth during the show, from 1300 to 1400 each day.
HTC will be in booth # 8103 with their friends from Renegade Armor for the week during the show. Not only will you be able to check out the latest things they’ve been working on, but you’ll also be able to see some of the collaboration they’ve done with their friends from Tactical Walls. You’ll also be able to check out some of the slick new rifles from Tennessee Arms Company, LLC, as well as the new, innovative SCARAB Light Plate Carrier from Velocity Systems in the HTC displays! HTC is going to debut another collaborative project that they’ve been working on with Progressive Force Concepts, Velocity Systems and Victory Tactical Gear.
Parties interested in setting up a private meeting to discuss distribution opportunities, partnerships, or related items, please email Sarah Larsen at sales@highthreatconcealment.com. Make sure you swing by booth #8103 to say “Hi”, grab one of their new logo patches, and pick up a free sample of Fireclean!

RMJ Tactical’s Ryan Johnson told us he has a little help in creating some of his designs. Take for instance the upcoming No Bother from CRKT.
Like me, Ryan does a lot with his kids. He told me that one day he and his daughter were out and she sketched a neck knife design out and wrote “No Bother” under it. Ryan asked her what that was about and she said, dead pan, “no one is going to bother you when you have this.” The name stuck along with the overall design.
This full tang neck knife is made from 8Cr13MoV with a 2.1″ blade and overall length of 5.29″ with a non-reflective, black oxide stone wash finish and a reverse tanto tip. Thanks to the non-removable ABS scales it only weights 2.2 oz.
The sheath can be worn several ways including around the neck via Paracord with integrated release safety fob to avoid choking as well as attached to PALS webbing. The sheath retains the blade even when tip up.
The latest issue of Raider magazine includes coverage from SHOT Show 2014 written in association with Soldier Systems Daily, featuring photos by Blind Owl Media and Tactical Fanboy.
In addition, this issue of Raider magazine also features our friends from Hot Shots Calendar. Volume 6, Issue 12 of Raider Magazine is available now.
CRKT introduced two new Ryan Johnson Tomahawk designs at SHOT Show, the Woods Chogan and Kangee T-Hawks.
You probably know Ryan Johnson from his own RMJ Tactical. He’s done a couple of designs for them in the past such as last year’s Chogan and Kangee T-Hawks that differ from these new models because of handle material. Weighing in at 2 lbs, 1.4 oz, these new Woods versions feature a 19.13″ long handle of Tennessee hickory, sealed with lacquer.
The heads of both models are made from 1055 steel and measure just over 4″. The Chogan offers a Hammer, while the Kangee incorporates a Spike on the head.
KRISS USA has released this video of their booth at SHOT Show 2014, exhibiting the latest in the Vector SMG, SPHINX pistol, and DEFIANCE suppressor lines. KRISS also held a private range event at Machine Gun Vegas, where participants were able to try out the Vector and SPHINX in the indoor range. Additionally, NRA commentator Natalie Foster and Gary Quesenberry of Top Shot were on hand to give their impressions of the Vector and SPHINX.
For manufacturers and retailers alike, Point of Sale Displays are extremely important. For the manufacturer it is the best way to represents themselves on a retail sales floor. For the retailer, the display should help showcase the product. I think Blue Force Gear has done a great job with this new launch, unveiled at SHOT Show.
The displays at the top can be changed and according to BFG they plan to support this capability with regular updates that will catch the customer’s eye as well as inform.
In addition to a very neat layout, there’s something else special about this display that won’t dawn on many right off the bat.
These blue guns are the best part of this new display. It can be difficult to visualize how many slings work. Generally, the customer will wonder if it’s long enough, how it will connect to the rifle, etc. With embedded QD points and Picatinny rail sections, these blue guns are an inexpensive way to provide some hands on time and show a customer how to configure the sling on the rifle.
Each display comes with one blue gun. Contact www.BlueForceGear.com for details about this new program.
