In 2007, Magpul Industries launched Magpul Dynamics, a firearms training division focused on the development of firearms manipulation skills. Over the last seven years through firearms courses and media projects, Magpul Dynamics changed the nature of the firearms training world at a fundamental level.
Over recent years, with a new staff, Magpul Dynamics focused inwards a bit. We still held a number of training courses, but we engaged in more skill development and general outreach to our end users. We immersed ourselves in the product development process, contributing to over 50 innovative new offerings throughout this past year. Perhaps most importantly, we focused on Magpul’s foundations and how to best present that face to the world as we move forward.
In addition to assisting in the development of new products, we will also be working on a number of media projects, articles, and social media efforts to promote those core values and to renew and develop the relationship with our customers and end users. Firearms training will continue to be a topic, of course, and we will still hold training courses. You will also see a variety of additional subjects from our staff, including adventure, fieldcraft, fitness, competition, hunting, and others, all with an emphasis on personal responsibility and celebrating individual liberties. In addition to our crew, you may also see some additional faces from around this industry and even outside it.
Along with new staff and new emphasis, is a new name that better captures the evolved mission. -Magpul Core.

We are entering new territory. Since 2001, deployed troops have, for the most part, enjoyed a great deal of forward deployed support infrastructure, including a vast medical apparatus with different levels of care available almost at your fingertips. As we draw down forces in forward areas, that medical support takes longer and longer to access as it moves farther and farther away from the operational space. For example, small units deployed to AFRICOM can literally be days away from definitive care due to the tyranny of distance across that vast continent with MEDEVAC requiring vehicle transit and airlift.
Solkoa recognizes these changes and is expanding over 10 years of specialized instruction experience into prolonged field care in austere environments. For some, this will be “back to the future”, reclaiming capabilities that existed in the SOF community before the current conflict. But it’s much more than that. I recently had a rare opportunity to participate alongside members of ADS Inc’s Sales Team in new equipment training of products from Leupold Optics and Knight’s Armament Corp at Special Operations Veteran Jim Smith’s Spartan Tactical just west of Fort Worth, Texas. It was unseasonably cold and wet that week but we made the best of it, combining classroom, pistol, carbine and SR-25 range sessions as well as a little practical application during a night shoot in search of wild hogs.
Jim has a great facility at Spartan Tactical with a variety of ranges with targets in excess of 1000m.
Classroom instruction was focused on optics, shooting theory and product info. Because the group had a variety of experience levels, hands on instruction started out with carbine basics with optics and ramped up to the point where the participants where engaging targets at 900m once we switched to the SR-25s.
Everything we did focused on the practical application of various Leupold optics, even during the day two handgun session. The event gave me a much better appreciation of Leupold’s lineup and I know that the ADS folks I accompanied gained a lot of confidence in their use and picked up some new understanding of customer requirements. They also got to take terminology and theory and apply them first hand to successfully engaging targets.

Leupold is going to release some VERY cool new products at SHOT Show (can’t show them just yet). The ADS team is well acquainted with these items and can help agencies and units with placing orders.
