Mission First Tactical Introduces the Extreme Duty 5.56 Polymer Mag

(November 2018) – Mission First Tactical, LLC (MFT™), a leader in USA-made rifle/carbine accessories, is proud to introduce the latest addition to the MFT magazine line, the Extreme Duty 5.56 Polymer Magazine (EXDPM556). Designed for the AR15/M4 platform but allowing for use with wide range of non-AR15/M4 platforms.

Manufactured using the newest material technology and processes, the magazines with their next generation long glass fiber polymer construction offer the trifecta of perfection in structural performance; strength, durability and stiffness. The stiffness allows the magazine to maintain its integrity without additional weight with an additional benefit of top performance even at elevated temperatures. The longer length reinforcing fibers produce increased strength and prevents deformation and polymer fatigue. Additionally, the Extreme Duty 5.56 mags offer increased durability through a more efficient energy transfer between the polymer and the longer fiber filaments during an impact. A long-life USGI-Spec stainless steel spring is corrosion resistant. The four-way, anti-tilt, self-lubricating follower keeps the rounds aligned and makes mag feeding consistent and reliable, while virtually eliminating jambs.

Confidence in handling the new Extreme Duty 5.56 mags is a piece of cake, even during weather or duress. The front and rear of the gripping surface is ribbed for a positive grip, even with gloves. An oversized bolt-catch provides enhanced reliability of the bolt-catch operation. The flared floor plate allows for an easier grip in handling and extraction and one-hand reloads. Wrapping up the multiple benefits to the newest addition to the MFT magazine line is a paint dox matrix to allow for easy marking and identification of magazines and the tool-less disassembly with the double floor plate safety release tabs.

The Official Qube from CGS Group, a Set Screwless Glock Comp

CGS Group recently unveiled the Official Qube, a Set Screwless Comp for Glock pistols.

Sounds interesting so I asked how it works and this was their reply.

The center radially porter cylinder threads onto the barrel first and gets torqued down with a wrench. It comes in either M13.5×1 LH or 1/2×28. The square Comp slides over the top of that against a taper on the ported cylinder. The hex nut lock on the front end pinches the square Comp against a second taper and locks it down preventing rotation of the square comp.

The square comp is the same size as a Glock slide, so it can be put in a vise and then just torqued down.

Alternatively, you can get the front lock but finger tight and get the square Comp oriented at 11 o’clock, then tighten to final orientation by torquing it down with a crescent wrench.

The center is radially ported so it doesn’t need timing since the barrel dimension will vary. Tapers can’t be shimmed anyway.

Although it’s intended for Glocks, it can be used with other pistols as well due to its mounting system.

ZEV Technologies Unveil Two New Gen5 Slide Designs

For those looking to upgrade their Gen5 G17 GLOCK® slide, the wait is over. These two new slide designs are preconfigured to accept Trijicon RMRs and feature ZEV’s patented threaded post optic cut and include an RMR adapter plate pre-installed.

ZEV Technologies PRO Flat Face Trigger

ZEV Technologies, known for creating the market for GLOCK upgrade triggers, announced the release of their PRO Flat Face Trigger. The new trigger incorporates a number of ZEV’s proprietary features including ZEV’s trigger bar, connector and riveted assembly process.

Shield Arms Folding Lower Receiver

The Shield Arms Folding Lower Receiver (FLR) is a patent-pending billet lower receiver with a folding stock mechanism machined and built directly into the receiver, allowing the stock or pistol brace to fold without the need of an aftermarket folding stock adapter. No installation. No tools. Just open the box, fold, and go.

The Shield Arms FLR is precision-machined from 7075 billet aluminum and is designed and manufactured in the U.S. The FLR ships as a stripped lower receiver with included buffer. The folding stock mechanism is preinstalled and accepts any standard aftermarket buffer tube. To complete the lower receiver, simply use a standard lower parts kit, and customize the Shield Arms FLR to your preference.

Additionally, the Shield Arms FLR uses a standard bolt carrier group and does not modify the carrier in any way, nor does it require any additional parts to function properly. As an added advantage, due to the folding mechanism being machined directly into the receiver, the overall length of the lower receiver is increased by only 5/8”, less than half the length of some popular aftermarket adapters.

Shield Arms SA-9

The Shield Arms SA-9 is a complete AR-15 style 9mm weapon system built on the FLR. The select fire version of the SA-9 was recently selected by the US Army to participate in the Sub Compact Weapon Prototype Opportunity.

The pistol version of the SA-9 equipped with an SB Tactical SBA3 pistol brace will be available for order soon with an expected MSRP of $1,499.99.
