Arnold Defense Introduces New Air Platform-mounted Rocket Launchers to the South East Asian Defense Market at the Singapore Air Show

Sunday, January 21st, 2018

Singapore, February 6, 2018: Arnold Defense, the US St Louis-based international manufacturer and supplier of 2.75-inch rocket launchers, is displaying its new, ultra-light LWL-12 2.75-inch/70mm Weapon Systems for the first time at the Singapore Air Show, Changi Exhibition Centre, February 6-11, 2018.

Arnold Defense is the world’s largest supplier of rocket launchers and the Company has manufactured more than 1.1 million 2.75-inch rocket launchers since 1961 for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and many NATO customers and allies. The Company designs and manufactures rocket launchers that can be customized for any size, weight, capacity or form factor for platforms in the air, on the ground or at sea.

Arnold Defense’s rocket launchers are designed and built with combat-proven technology and they comply with stringent U.S. airworthiness and safety standards. The Company’s products include the new, ultra-light LWL-12 (on display on Dillon Aero stand S71) that weighs just over 60 pounds (27 kg) empty. Other core products include the 19-round M261 (on display on the flight line on a Singapore Air Force Apache helicopter ) which is commonly used by helicopters; the thermal coated 7-round LAU-68 variants and LAU-61 Digital Rocket Launcher are used by the U.S. Navy and Marines; and the 7-round LAU-131 and SUU-25 flare dispenser are used by the U.S. Air Force and worldwide.

Traditionally, 2.75-inch rocket systems have been used as an area suppression weapon, ordinarily deployed by aviation assets. The Arnold Defense team is currently developing the FLETCHER smart, laser-guided launcher system, which will be available during 2018. A special forces vehicle mounted FLETCHER prototype, unveiled at DSEI and AUSA in 2017, utilizes the advancement of laser guided rocket technology to meet the modern demands of air, land and marine-based, mounted and dismounted asymmetric warfare, for special and conventional forces.

Jim Hager, President and CEO of Arnold Defense said “Arnold Defense is exceedingly well established in the air environment with our rocket systems being used on air platforms globally, so we are very excited to have our combat-proven technology on display at the Singapore Air Show”.

“We are inherently committed to manufacturing the world’s most reliable and affordable rocket launchers. Through our innovation, integrity, dedication, technical expertise and warfighter-first focus, we continue to produce the very best rocket launchers in the world.

“Working together, we protect today’s warfighters, just as we have for the last half-century.”

SIG To Offer Suppressed Upper Receiver

Saturday, January 20th, 2018

SIG is introducing a 300 BLK Upper Reciever Group which is compatible with both MCX and AR-style lowers. This short stroke gas piston upper features a 6.75″ barrel with a permanently attached 19 baffle, Titanium suppressor. It has two gas settings for use with sub and supersonic ammunition.

Remember, this is a piston upper so the lower receiver extension isn’t required. Consequently, it will come with the 1913 adapter to facilitate use with the AR lower reciever. This adapter accepts SIG’s 1913 compatible (vertical orientation) stocks. Additionally, the SUR300 comes with a Matchlite Duo trigger.

No word yet on whether this is based on SIG’s submission for the Naval Special Warfare Personal Defense Weapon program which is also in 300 BLK. Additionally, it looks like it may have applied some lessons learned from their submission for SOCOM’s Suppressed Upper Receiver Group program, which is in 5.56mm.

5865BB25-FD6F-4A7D-A129-93F6D19D73D8

The Nighthawk Agent 2 is the next evolution of collaboration between Nighthawk Custom, Agency Arms, Railscales, and Hillbilly 223. This continued partnership has given rise to the sleek, tough, expertly engineered and styled Agent 2; the successor of the highly coveted Agent 1 released at the NRAAM in 2017.

Every element of this gun is meticulously designed with emphasis on function and aesthetics. Modeled after the popular Agency Arms Urban Combat slide, the Agent 2 combines the functionality of Agency Arms and the artistry of Nighthawk Custom to include the following features:
• Faceted Slide to Reduce Weight
• “DNA Collector” Front & Rear Cocking Serrations
• Side Windows
• Revised Fiber Optic Sights
• Heinie Ledge Rear Sight
• Available in 9mm & 45acp

C1F55E27-4993-4616-BC9C-DA64BEE9CCE8

It’s all about the details! The faceted design carries down into the frame creating a consistent sleek style throughout. A lightened and stylized rail incorporates the agency accelerator cut while still allowing for mounting of standard lights and lasers, making this a fully functional modern firearm made to run hard and fast.

The one-piece magwell, barrel bushing, grip safety, thumb safety, and slide stop, all continue the faceted flat edged profile and aggressive serrations with an incredible level of detail for both look and more importantly enhanced grip.

67AC3ECF-AF2B-48AA-9FE6-294FD64F98B3

Railscales newly released grips are made from G10 material specifically for this pistol. These grips are ultra slim for reduced printing and shooters with smaller hands. The press check serration design has been incorporated into the grip panels to maximize grip texture without being overly aggressive or rough. An enhanced thumb scoop near the magazine catch offers maximum relief and makes releasing the magazine without breaking your shooting grip easier.

The trigger has also been updated to a variation on the Agency Arms Flat Faced Trigger with an enhanced toe. While the Agency Arms trigger has been popular in making pivot-based triggers like the Glock feel more like a 1911 trigger, the new 1911 version of this trigger is an experience that needs to be felt.

Media, dealers, and attendees of SHOT Show can come to booth #12579 to see the gun on display starting Tuesday morning. We are taking orders for this gun starting today with shipments leaving Nighthawk Custom early February with an MSRP of $4495.

North Ferrisburgh, VT – Atlas Gunworks has released the Titan Operator 9mm pistol for duty and self-defense. It’s based on the popular Titan competition pistol and is the newest pistol in Atlas’ growing lineup.

51CE396D-369E-4974-ACEC-5430474AD73F

Atlas understands that competition guns aren’t the best choice for military, law enforcement or self-defense. So, when the tactical team at a west coast sheriff’s department requested 9mm Titans for duty, the Titan Operator was born. Atlas starts with a full-custom 2011 Titan in fit and finish and adds features for the tactical user. Features include a DLC coated, tri-topped and lightened slide, 5” KKM bull barrel, PT aluminum grip, 19 + 1 capacity, tactical rear sight and a railed frame.

A09D1378-F215-46D3-A14C-10B0A00D7138

Pistols for duty and self-defense require an extra measure of reliability. It must run in extreme conditions with many different types of ammunition. To achieve this, Atlas installs heavy duty springs to ensure reliable cycling and primer ignition. The trigger pull is also set to be slightly heavier than their competition guns, coming in at 3.0 to 3.5 pounds.

Staying true to their commitment to short wait times, the Atlas Gunworks Titan Operator ships in less than 3 months. For more information visit atlasgunworks.com or call 855-940-1911.
