Designed to fulfill the Field Sanitation requirements for a Company level organization. This includes control of anthropoids and rodents, potable water, food service sanitation, personal protection equipment, and prevention of heat injuries.

It is a single item and has an NSN, 4540-01-578-4352. The Field Sanitation Kit is on an IDIQ contract with DLA. Talk about a great alternative to buying all of those individual items and then packing them.

KAC’s Improved 45 Degree 200-600m Offset Rear Sight

December 9th, 2014

IMG_9657.JPG

During a recent range trip to West Texas’s Spartan Tactical along with Leupold and Knight’s Armament, I got a chance to see a few new items demonstrated by KAC’s Jack Luba and Kevin Boland.

IMG_9739.JPG

You may have already read about the new bipod, so this time I’ll mention the Improved 45 Degree 200-600m Offset Rear Sight mounted to the SR-25 above.

IMG_9750.JPG

Notice it is called an “Improved” model. That’s because while the actual sight itself remains unchanged, they’ve improved the base. The two main changes are that it’s now ambidextrous, and attaches with 1/8 hex rather than the screw, previously used.

Make sure you stop by Knight’s booth at SHOT Show to get a first hand look at this sight.

SKD Tactical – PIG SMS Sling

December 9th, 2014

PIG SMS

The PIG Swift Mechanical Support (SMS) Sling combines aspects of a Quick Adjust 2-point sling and traditional Loop sling into an adaptable weapons retention and shooting platform. The SMS includes a support strap, which connects to a midway point on the rifle just forward of the action. When the SMS is utilized as a 2-point sling, this strap stays out of the way, however when a supported shooting stance is needed, the user only has to thread their arm through the forward loop created by the front and support strap, re-grasp the forend, and touch their elbow to any solid contact point (knee, vehicle, wall, etc.) to anchor their firearm.

PIG SMS 2

Available in Black, Coyote Brown, and Ranger Green. Made in the USA.
