Greetings from the Lindnerhof-Taktik HQ in Lenggries, Bavaria, Germany from our friend Herr Doktor Weisswange.
I first got a look at the Mountain Khaki Spider Monkey by Zac Brown’s Southern Grind at last month’s Outdoor Retailer Winter Market. Not only is it a great looking knife, but you’re supporting a great cause when you purchase one. A portion of the proceeds from each knife sold will benefit Camp Southern Ground, which is a camp sponsored by Zac Brown.

Although you may not have heard of them, Tactical Tracking Operations School has been around for over 20 years. In fact, they were the only company for many years to provide specialized tracking instruction here in the US. The website has loads of information; 22 years worth, to be exact. There’s also info on their latest programs of instruction.
I’ve tried them and like them. These days, I’m not a guy to go for “tactical pants”, but the Tactix series has some nice features including a little mechanical stretch in the fabric and rivet reinforcements on the belt loops. Plus, the price is pretty good.
The Men’s Tactix Series Tactical Pant is made to move, with its flex action waist and a running gusset through the crotch and inside leg. In the durability department, flexible and tough nylon lining protects multiple utilitarian pockets from wear, while the Teflon® coated fabric resists moisture, stains, and dirt.
The women’s Tactix Series Tactical Pants feature First Tactical’s Advanced Women’s fit which addresses the specific needs of women’s tactical clothing by providing a contoured cut for a specialized solution. Contoured to fit a woman’s body, female public safety professionals will no longer be required to purchase a smaller version of men’s tactical pants. These tactical pants for women combine the perfect fit with function.
The pants come in Black, Khaki, Midnight Navy and retail for $64.99.
The .44 Auto Mag has reached mythical status in the gun culture even though only about 9,000 were built over just a dozen or so years of production. The pistol was manufactured by several companies during the 70s and early 80s, flipflopping due to management issues with the last gun being assembled in 1982. But now, Auto Mag, Ltd of Florence, SC has acquired the rights and is set to begin manufacturing of the Auto Mag X.
Like I said, it’s reached mythical status, most likely because of its appearance in Dirty Harry’s ‘Sudden Impact’ installment. It sure made for good cinema, but the Automag is also familar to Mack Bolan fans. There’s something about the pistol’s lines and the thought of a controllable .44 automatic pistol that inspires the imagination.
But enough of what was, visit www.thenewautomag.com to learn about the future of this iconic American firearm.
Registration is now open for Warrior Expo West and East. These are literally my favorite shows of the year. No rolling milk carts, no JROTC cadets, no beef jerky and no BS. Just qualified users and buyers along with great companies and products. Additionally, they’ll have some very informative speakers and seminars. Be there!
Warrior West is 4-5 May in San Diego
Warrior East is 14-15 July in Virginia Beach
We told you about it a week ago. Here’s the link in case you missed it.
