SAVANNAH, GA—February 19, 2012—Blue Force Gear® announced today that they will provide their weight-slashing Helium Whisper™ pouch attachment system to Mayflower Research & Consulting. Mayflower joins the growing number of adoptees for Blue Force Gear’s Patent pending Helium Whisper and this technology will enhance the products they currently provide to elite users. Mayflower anticipates full stock of their pouches with Helium Whisper backers in approximately 45 days.

“Mayflower Research & Consulting is proud to be working with Blue Force Gear moving forward with a great addition to our product lineup. Blue Force Gear has made a giant leap forward in removing weight off of the warfighter’s back and we see it as a natural compliment to our philosophy of building products for the military athlete,” said Travis Rolph, Mayflower’s CEO.

“Quiet professionals know Mayflower to be a forward-thinking company and we have the highest respect for Travis and his team,” said Ashley Burnsed, Blue Force Gear’s CEO. “We look forward to helping them improve the comfort, speed, and survivability of their customers with Helium Whisper.”

Helium Whisper allows modular pouch backs to be constructed from a single piece of high-performance laminate versus the multiple straps and snaps of outdated designs. This amazing breakthrough increases strength and durability of pouches while eliminating failure points and reducing weight by up to 60 percent. Helium Whisper licensing allows OEM customers to reduce sewing costs, minimize alignment errors, maintain or increase durability, and stay relevant to today’s weight-conscious military customers.

Colorado Anti-Gun Politicians Think Magpul is Bluffing

February 19th, 2013

As you’ve probably heard, the Colorado legislature is hell bent for leather to pass anti-gun language that will result in, among other things, make it illegal to own so-called “High Capacity Magazines” such as the PMAG manufactured by Magpul Industries. Coincidentally, Magpul happens to be headquartered in Eerie, Colorado and this new law, if enacted would also make it illegal to manufacture 20 and 30 round magazines.

20130218-165531.jpg

As you can imagine, Magpul Industries isn’t taking this sitting down and explained that any such denial of Coloradans’ Second Amendment rights will result in their leaving Colorado. Those same politicians who are sponsoring this restrictive legislation think that Magpul is bluffing. It seems that saying things you don’t mean is so normal for these guys that they can’t imagine anyone actually following through with their word. In response to their disbelief, Magpul posted this statement yesterday on their Facebook wall.

We’re hearing some rumors that the Gov and the Dem caucus think we are bluffing. Just to clarify for them, then…we’re not a political company. We dont play political games. We’ve made our position very clear, very publicly. We would not survive lying to our customer base, nor would we ever consider it. If you pass this, we will leave, and you will own it. We’ve already got plans in place to get PMAG manufacturing moved rapidly, and the rest of the company will follow. We will make sure to at least have a small remain-behind operation through the 2014 elections so that we can remind folks why we are gone.

This isn’t over yet. Please see this story to find out how you can help stop this ridiculous notion before it becomes the law of Colorado.

First Look at Team Wendy EXFIL Carbon Fiber Bump Helmet in MultiCam

February 18th, 2013

20130218-161129.jpg

Team Wendy is now offering MultiCam dipped EXFIL Bump Helmets and Tactical Night Vision Company is giving us a first look. Featuring an entirely new suspension/padding system that minimizes the use of foam, any energy from a strike is dissipated through a combination of a crown sling and buckling zones. In fact, this helmet’s liner technology was developed specifically in support of Natick’s Heads Up program. It also incorporates the Boa lacing system found on ski boots for a custom fit. Additionally, the EXFIL comes with a skeletonized Wilcox VAS shroud and rail system with integrated T-slots.

The MultiCam variant will join the Tan and Black versions on TNVC’s website later this week.

Make sure you watch Reaper Outdoors so you can get an idea of what we are talking about. The THV is based on a MOLLE-style chest rig design and offers nine purpose built pouches for hunting including Bow, Rifle and Shotgun specific items. Look for a full story soon.

Happy Presidents Day

February 18th, 2013

While Presidents Day was originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, it is now popularly viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents – past and present.
