Local Motors is hosting a graphic design contest sponsored by Wheelers4Warriors, a non-profit organization that helps Wounded Warriors by restoring, modifying, and repairing any vehicle to the best of their capabilities, and beyond the original manufacturer, so an injured warrior can get back to his or her daily life. The Jeep below was their latest undertaking.
They want you to come up with a custom paint job that captures what they are all about. A Local Motors Rally Fighter will receive a custom wrap with the winning design to be viewed in the world’s largest aftermarket convention to help raise awareness of this great cause.
To help inspire you, they give this guidance –
“We would like our wrap to reflect our organization. This means that it must reflect our appreciation of military service and promote W4W itself. The design should breath confidence and capability in a harsh combat-like environment. Tactical brown, black, and green colors are encouraged, but keep in mind our logo is red and yellow. We want a modern day warrior to feel like they could drive this into combat and draw looks from both sides, because it inspires, while being aggressive. We want to have a skin that shows confidence like a lion, but masterful like a rattlesnake.”
