Agilite’s Tactical Hi-Vest Now Available in A-TACS AU Camo

Israeli gear manufacturer Agilite’s signature product, the Tactical Hi-Vest, is now available in A-TACS AU Camo.

The Tactical Hi-Vest can fit up to 12 thirty round M4 magazines and includes a binoculars/night vision goggles tether, a pull strip for storing spare batteries and 7” knife sheath as well as a compass pouch and compartments for storing radio codes, chemlights, a compass, etc.

The Tactical Hi-Vest also integrates with the Agilite Modular Assault Pack (AMAP) (as shown in photos) for an additional 15 liters of load-bearing real estate that attaches/detaches in seconds without the added bulk of an external day pack.

TenCate Protective Fabrics and Digital Concealment Systems Announce Defender M in A-TACS Camo

Both TenCate’s FR Defender M fabric as well as the A-TACS family of camouflage patterns from Digital Concealment Systems are familiar to SSD readers. What is new, is that TenCate will be offering Defender M, the standard FR fabric for US ground combat uniforms, in the A-TACS patterns. Currently, the only other camouflage available for sale in Defender M is MultiCam, making this pretty big news. Yes, there are a few national patterns printed on Defender M but they are restricted. Featuring a 5″ barrel with integrated muzzle brake, the MasterPiece Arms 5.7 x 28mm MPA57sst-ATACS integrates a Picatinny rail along the top to mount accessories. It comes stock with a 20 round polymer magazine but most striking is the A-TACS AU dip job.

The DCS (Dynamic Combat System) in A-TACS AU camo from UK-based Warrior Assault Systems is a lightweight armor carrier, with removable sides that can not only hold hard armor plates but also Nexus soft armor in the both the front and back as well as in the adjustable side pouches.

The DCS is fully adjustable for height and width and comes with 3D Spacer mesh lining for cooling and comfort. Additionally, the DCS is designed to be worn with their Warrior Frag Belt as shown.

A-TACS Camo and Schott Performance Fabrics announce a virtual ONE STOP SHOP for A-TACS Camo fabrics and Trims; also expands A-TACS Camo fabric printing to Duro Textiles

Due to high demand and to assist smaller manufactures who do not require large quantities of production fabric, Schott Performance Fabrics is now set up to take orders and distribute less than Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) on all A-TACS AU and A-TACS FG Camo fabrics. For domestic and international manufacturers requiring larger quantities of fabric, the ordering process will remain the same, simply contact Denise Barrick by phone toll free at: 877-720-4545 or by e-mail at: dbarrick@schottfabrics.com

Manufacturers or individuals not requiring large amounts of fabric for their project, will be now able to order fabric directly from Schott fabrics in quantities as small as five yards.

As an added feature, Schott will also be including A-TACS AU and A-TACS FG printed webbing and A-TACS AU and A-TACS FG printed loop to their product offering creating a virtual ONE STOP SHOP for A-TACS Camo fabric and A-TACS Camo printed trims. When ordering fabrics, you will now be able to order printed webbing and loop at the same time.

Coming Soon from Snugpak – Equipment in A-TACS AU

We broke this story at SHOT Show, but now, A-TACS AU developer Digital Concealment Systems has released a couple of product photos from Snugpak including sleep systems and cold weather clothing.

The Special Forces 1 Sleeping Bag is Temperature rated from 41F/Low32F (5C/0C) with a pack size of only 7”x7” when fully compressed and a weight of just 43 oz. The Special Forces 2 Sleeping Bag is Temperature rated from 20F/Low14F (5C/0C) with a pack size of only 9”x9” when fully compressed and weighing just 64oz.

The Snugpak Sleeka Reversible Insulated Jacket and Salopettes are rated from 23F/Low14F (-5C/-10C) and weighing just 23 to 30oz.
