High Threat Concealment Expands Distribution

Monday, April 21st, 2014

Newport News, VA, April 2014 – In a world where being “made” can be a life-ending event, High Threat Concealment™ (HTC™) has set the standard for low visibility tactical equipment. Our system has become standard issue to groups and units whose lives depend on staying off the grid. Being able to operate covertly, yet still effectively react to a threat without compromising your capability is where HTC™ has exceled. For Protective Security Details, Surveillance Teams, SOF units, and individuals operating in non-permissive environments, our Low Profile System™ (LPS™) has become a necessity for professionals looking to lower their tactical signature. The modularity of our system creates a flexible platform that can be adapted to a variety of tactical applications.

HTC™ is now going global. After stepping in to fill the emerging vacuum in the domestic “low visibility” market, we are establishing our International Dealer Program. With our scalable manufacturing capabilities, we are able to fill large purchase orders with minimal lead-times. We are now ready to create and dominate globally in the “low visibility” Market. All international parties interested in becoming dealers are asked to contact: Shay Dortch at: sdortch@highthreatconcealment.com.

Be sure to stay tuned for major new announcements on new, innovative products coming to the market in 2014 from High Threat Concealment™.

High Threat Concealment/Rogue Gunfighter Low Vis Demo Day

Monday, January 6th, 2014

Last October, High Threat Concealment in partnership with Rogue Gunfighter hosted their Low Vis Demo Day at C2 Shooting Center in Virgina Beach, VA. HTC, Rogue Gunfighter, and other companies in the tactical and firearms industries displayed their products. This occurred along the covered range directly behind the main office at C2. We were able to offer coverage of these companies soon after the event in a number of earlier posts, however this made up only half of what was available that day.

The other half of the event was much more hands on. Participants were outfitted and allowed to shoot rifles and pistols out at a couple of the open ranges set up further down the property. It was a great opportunity to get a feel for HTC and Rogue Gunfighter’s gear in action. As you can see from the photos, the HTC crew was also participated at the range themselves.

The High Threat Concealment/Rogue Gunfighter Low Vis Demo Day offered a great opportunity to check out some high quality gear on and off the shooting space. Strong offerings by the participating companies made it a worthwhile event. We look forward to seeing what these companies have to offer in the future.

MOAB Armor Carrier

Here’s the MOAB low profile Armor Carrier, which first debuted at SOFIC. It features front panel wings for radios, med gear, etc. Clamshell adapters stay in place via internal Velcro on both the Clamshell and cummerbund. They offer additional PALS webbing and two elastic straps for quick access item retention. It’s also configured to accept clip-on backpacks and chest rigs.

The commercial release of the MOAB will include two Clamshells, and the Octopus detachable chest rig and strap. The Clamshell and Octopus also feature their own SKUs and will be available separately.

The Octopus Chest Rig and Strap comes standard with the MOAB Armor Carrier. This allows the rig attached to the MOAB to function as a standalone chest rig. It features two integrated pistol and rifle magazine pouches with PALS webbing for additional pouches. The strap itself attaches to the buckles of the chest rig and features a Velcro loop back pad with a threaded inner liner.

Things Are Happening at HTC

Sunday, July 7th, 2013

We’ve run across a couple of interesting government procurements of High Threat Concealment gear recently. First we find out through a story in Government Security News that “Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is issuing this Notice of Intent to award as a sole source requirement to High Threat Concealment (HTC), 708 Gum Rock Street, Suite E, Newport News, VA 23606 for Low Profile Systems (both Left and Right handed).”

And then a Sole Source announcement is published on FedBizOpps that NSWG2 intends to purchase “66 ea LOW PROFILE CONCEALMENT SYSTEMs. Standard includes 1 ea dual pistol mag holder, 2 ea M4 Mag Holders, 1 blowout kit, 1 gen 3 radio holder and 1 gen 3 pistol holster,” from HTC.

Looks like quite a few agencies are interested in HTC. Check out this video by Progressive Force Concepts covering their gear.
