Designed on a lead from a Japanese dealer, Spartan Blades came up with these Titanium, breakdown Chop Sticks. Titanium means hypoallergenic, and the cool factor is through the roof. Made up of 4 components, the tip, body, carbon fiber sleeve and cap. The carbon fiber sleeves can be swapped out but initially it will be offered with Black and Red Twill. Basha is the British military term, adopted from the Malay for a piece of kit that is used a general purpose tarpaulin; it can form a shelter, ground cloth, hammock or, used to wrap up in if the need arises. However, it generally does not incorporate the head hole found in a poncho. Velocity Systems gives us their take on the design. In addition to button holes every 2′ around the edge to attach cordage or bungees for erection, it also incorporates a handy hood in the corner so that it can be used as a poncho in an emergency. It measures a generous 115″ x 84″.

The new C5C is an AR 670-1 compliant boot and offers a long lasting leather vamp. It incorporates speed lace eyelets and NATO hooks along with 550 cord laces. Weighing in at just 15.5 oz, the C5C features a Multi-directional self cleaning tread pattern. This 8″ boot is available now in Desert Tan and Coyote Brown, sizes 4-14 and 15.
The new Benchmade 940-1 Osborne aXIS will be available in April. It is the first knife in the 940 series to feature S90V steel. It also incorporates machined carbon fiber handles, blue anodized barrel spacers making for a lighter version of the standard 940. You may notice the name includes AXIS and this is because it uses the AXIS lock, an ambidextrous, easy-to-use locking mechanism for the blade. The blade is 3.4″ with an overall length of 7.87″ and 2.4 oz.
Mossie Tactics introduced the Universal Quick Detach Loop or UQDL, fapeaturing a 661 T6 limited rotation limited rotation cup with stainless steel aircraft cable loop. It’s been over molded with O rings so it remains silent and offers a distinct tactile feel. Combined with the Mossie Tactics heavy duty QD swivel, it will hold 430 lbs.
It enables you to put a sling on any weapon. You can slide it unto a Carbine receiver extension or girth hitch it to a front sight triangle. You can also adapt it to an AK and Mossie offers a buttstock adapter for fixed stocks.

Back during AUSA we told you about 3M Ceradyne’s new Ballistic Bump Helmet. At SHOT Show we got to take a glimpse of their 3 helmet system.
Specifically, they are offering a Ballistic Bump Helmet for those who will use their helmet for bump protection but require basic ballistic protection. The aerial density 1.1 psf. There is also a Tactical Ballistic Helmet that offers ACH level protection at 1.65 psf and a Extreme Ballistic Helmet that offers Rifle threat level protection at 2.1 psf aerial density.
It’s a high cut helmet with a proprietary rail system and Wilcox shroud. The rail easily integrates another 3M product, the Peltor Comtac headset. The suspension can be configured based on customer requirements.
