Arc’teryx LEAF has 5 (count them 5) new stories for SHOT show. It’s design, materials and innovation.
First and foremost, the Alpha Jacket has been reinvigorated. The Alpha Parka has been dropped from the line but the Alpha Gen 2 Jacket, bib and Pant (suite) offer multiple enhancements. For example, the jacket has slimmed about a quarter pound. The hood is completely redesigned with a lower profile material. The pockets are glued in and there are fewer seams overall. Additionally, the internal pockets feature cable routing. Also, the hem draw cords are internal.
Both the pants and bib feature glued pockets as well as this cool, full length side zip that routes slightly rear of the knee so that you can move with the zips open.
The Alpha LT has new pockets and is manufactured from WL Gore’s Light and Fast (MultiCam) or Pro in solid colors. It’s all about the breathability and mobility. Additionally, the internal pockets feature cable routing. The hem cords are internal. Additionally, only the MultiCam model has Velcro panels on the sleeve.
The Atom Line includes both the LT and its beefier SV brother but the features have been updated on both. In addition to face fabric upgrades it integrates a new hood stowage system as well as the internal pocket cable routing.
The Reintrodcuced Gen 2 Combat Pant features a streamlined 10 pocket design. It’s so awesome that the pockets have pockets but you’d never know it by looking at it. It comes in Wolf and Crocodile.
The final piece is the waterproof comms pack, the Dry Pack 70 we showed you last summer. Arc’teryx worked with a couple of customer groups to get it just right. It’s a great example of what they will do to satisfy the customer. Their attention to detail is unparalleled in the tactical space.
For those if you attending SHOT Show, you can see the entire line at Booth #10526.
