OCP Caps Available for Those Who Missed Out

The OCP Caps given away at AUSA and here on SSD by ADS were so popular that they have agreed to release a small number for sale through Tactical Distributors. Manufactured from the same softshell material used in the Level 5 garments of ECWCS Gen III, the caps come in the recently authorized Operation Enduring Freedom Camouflage Pattern, popularly known as Crye MultiCam. These are great hats and you will surprised at how light they are. This is a first come, first served situation and I don’t believe there are a whole lot available as they were giving them away at AUSA.

Team X-T.R.E.M.E. at the Marine Corps Marathon

Team X-T.R.E.M.E. is in full force at the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC this weekend. While the Marathon itself isn’t until tomorrow, the National Mall is in pre-race festival mode.

Sponsored by a multitude of industry partners, Team X-T.R.E.M.E. is on hand to raise money for wounded troops and their families. One of the fundraising events is an attempt by Jeremy Soles to run the entire Marine Corps Marathon while wearing a protective mask. In addition to the mask provided by manufacturer Avon, Jeremy will also be using a Camelbak hydration system that is NBC compatible to stay hydrated throughout the course without breaking the seal of the mask. As you can see from the graphic below, Jeremy has already successfully completed a half-marathon masked up. Look for full coverage provided by Extreme Outfitters soon.

Grey Group In The Heavyweight Champions Corner At UFC 121

This past weekend brought the UFC a new Heavyweight Champion, Cain Velasquez. If you watched the fight it was one hell of a bout, with Cain dominating his opponent Brock Lesnar for the fast win. Grey Group was represented at the fight by the legendary trainer Dave Camarillo. Dave was sporting the Grey Group colors with pride in the Team Velasquez corner. We cannot express how proud we are of Cain’s accomplishment, and the amazing job his team and Dave did to train him for such an amazing performance in the octagon. Congratulations and thanks go out to Cain and Dave.
