782 Gear is Smokin

Based on the venerable field jacket and pant liners, the new Smokin line is made from an 1.1 oz FR fabric shell with FR insulation. It is reversible with color options including Coyote, Foliage Green and MultiCam. The design echos the old issue field jacket liner with underarm vents and would fit perfectly under a field uniform but it has a zipper down the front of the sweater rather than button holes we are used to. The Smokin line will feature a Full Zip Sweater, Chaps, Quarter Zip shirt, Vest, and Blanket. 782’s new website should be launched around the first of February but until then visit www.782gear.com.
Crye Precision Jumpable Plate Carrier
Thursday, January 21st, 2010The new Crye Jumpable Plate Carrier weighs an astounding one pound. I probably wouldn’t need to tell you anything except Crye and one pound and that would have you but there’s more.
The JPC is all about business and Crye has taken out every non-essential ounce they could find. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t comfortable. Lined with two way stretch, the JPC also features the new Patent Pending MOLLE Lite designed to accommodate PALS equipped patches which span across open space like on the sides of a plate carrier.

Magpul Ronin
Thursday, January 21st, 2010What started out as a design exercise has turned into a practical work of art. Magpul designers took a Buell 1125R sport bike and decided to keep the parts they loved which included the fuel body, engine, swing arm and frame and develop new parts to complement the design. After Buell shut down last year the project took on the moniker ‘Ronin’ to pay homage to the Samurai warrior without a master.
They developed a new four bar linkage, mono-shock, airbox, and radiator with some sick running light accents.
