At Modern Day Marine we got an opportunity to check out G-Code’s entry for the US Army Improved Modular Holster System program courtesy of MilitaryHardware.com.
Their entry consists of the XST holster along with Duty Drop Leg, H-MAR adapter for vests and MOLLE belt mount. The Kydex XST features an two forms of retention; the Over the Top, Power Assisted, Retention Canopy as well as their Adjustable Pro-Safe Tensioning. It is also outfitted with G-Code’s RTI (Rapid Transition Interface) which allows the user to securely move their holster from mount to another.

Gunfighter Grip Mod 3
The Grip Mod 3 features a reduced angle for improved ergonomics and trigger control. A hinged trap door offers storage inside the grip with a water-resistant rubber gasket. The Grip Mod 3 has an extended forward tang to close the gap between the trigger guard and grip and a high rise “beavertail” style back strap. This grip is up to a quarter of an inch wider when compared to the BCMGunfighter Mod 0 and Mod 1 grips.

Vertical Grip SHORT
The Vertical Grip SHORT is designed with a low-profile length for increased mobility and decreased “snag” factor. The forward angle increases the rigidity of the forearm while providing a more natural wrist angle. Spring loaded, reversible clamps allow for easy installation and removal and for users to setup fasteners on either side; this allows the SHORT to be mounted in reverse angle to increase control when grabbing handguard and grip. The grip’s flat sides give better yaw control to the shooter during firing and non-firing manipulations. Cross bolt mount designed to work with improvised tools and allow for easy adjustment or re-tightening.

Back in the early 90s, UK-based Special Air Sea Services offered this little gem. The Canoeist / Beach Recce Smock was designed back when folding canoes were all the rage.
This anorak-style smock incorporates an interesting adjustable hood design, double wrist closures, and elasticized waist, and pockets galore. In addition to a large, angled chest pocket accessible with the right hand, there is an additional conventional chest pocket as well as skirt pockets and a large pocket on the back. There are two other features on the hood that no one could seem to explain. First, was the snapped tab and second, the small pocket.
Don’t tell me that Travis and I were the only two guys to ever want one of these.
When I visited the ArmorWorks booth at Modern Day Marine I ran into Steve Reichert who showed me a few new armor carrier designs that he had a hand in helping develop. In the photo below you can see all of the carriers.

This low viz model was intended to be worn under a shirt or jacket and has an interesting take on magazine carriage. As you can see it utilizes elastic pouches right into the vest. Additionally, they’ve developed a set of belt mounted mag carriers.
You may notice that these carriers also offer the capability to integrate chest rigs such as the D3 Chest Rig from Haley Strategic Partners.
As you can see, the simple, streamlined design of the concealable vest means that chest rigs can also be worn with their integral webbing.
