SOTech is supporting Auto X Ops’ development of their patented XOP Stock (pronounced ZOP).
XOP Stock is the invention of Retired Police Officer Joede Vanek (LVMPD) and his close friend Bret Pitman. Together, they formed Auto X Ops.
Designed for use with AR-style weapons, it replaces the standard stock and pistol grip. This new stock system offers the shooter the ability to instantly change the length of pull with a single lever.
The silver lever is spring loaded and stays in the upright position just under the trigger guard. The shooter uses the middle finger to flip the lever down into position and then to the rear. The stock itself is spring loaded and extends to any one of the stock’s 11 positions selected by the shooter.
The XOP Stock allows immediate transition of length of pull to accommodate sight relief, terrain and TTPs. All of this without removing the weapon from the shoulder. At any point, the shooter can change the stock’s position by using the lever.
Imagine having the carbine change rather than contorting yourself to the weapon. That’s what Joede had in mind when came up with the idea.
If you’re concerned about the form factor, their next step is modularity, offering different stock and grip options.
Visit SOTech in booth #20113 to see the XOP Stock.
ITS Tactical has spent the last year-and-a-half developing the patent pending TourniQuick Pouch. It is is compatible with SOFTT-W and CAT and what I like is that it completely encapsulates the tourniquet, protecting it from debris as well as UV light.
It’s simple to deploy. Pull on the red-banded fabric ring at the top and it come out, ready to deploy.
Finally, it features ITS Tactical’s 4-way mounting system. It can be belt mounted horizontally and vertically and is also PALS compatible. They’ve also added one-wrap to attach it to pack straps.
Look for it later this year in Black, Coyote and MultiCam.
Brownell’s Retro Rifle line is on display at their booth at SHOT Show. The full details of the line can be found here, but as a reminder, the Retro Rifle line consists of four 5.56mm and two .308/7.62 rifles built to the correct styling for US military issued rifles in the 60s, or in the case of the .308 rifles, built to Eugene Stoner’s original AR-10 design.

The PowerAccess Deluxe is a new multitool from SOG Knives. Made of 5Cr15MoV steel with a stonewash finish, the PowerAccess Deluxe has 21 tools, as well as a 12-piece hex bit kit, and the components can be opened while keeping the tool closed. This tool utilizes SOG’s compound leverage gripping power. With this feature, and the wire cutters, we were able to slice clean through a penny the rep had on hand.
Another cool feature of this and other tools in SOG’s new line is the ability to retain a bit while the tool is closed.
Here’s a shot of the PowerAccess Deluxe fully extended.
