Vudoo Gun Works Releases V22M Magnum Action

January 15th, 2019 –St George, UT – Vudoo Gun Works, leader in rimfire precision rifles, is proud to announce the addition of the V22M action to their product lineup. Vudoo Gun Works is now offering complete builds chambered in 22 Magnum and 17 HMR.

The V22M brings longer bolt travel to accommodate the length of 22WMR and 17HMR cartridges. This added length provided the opportunity to design a new articulated bolt release that transfers the force of bolt actuations to a plunger hidden under the scope mount. The V22M also brings added consistency with a new anti-rotation bolt head, a redesigned multi-piece bolt assembly, and our own unique 7075 machined Aluminum AICS style magazines available in five and ten shot capacities.

The new V22M bolt assembly is similar to its predecessor but offers toolless disassembly and maintenance by way of a unique bayonet style locking system between the shroud, bolt body, and bolt front. In addition, the fire control system has also been refined to eliminate drag and therefore, provide more consistent and reliable ignition.

Magpul Announces Takedown Stock for Ruger PC Carbine

Yes! I’ve been holding out for Magpul to introduce a takedown stock for the Ruger Pistol Caliber Carbine. Essentially a 10/22 scaled up to 9mm (or 49 S&W), the PCC uses proprietary Ruger magazines or via a swappable magwell (included) Glock magazines, it makes a great option for those who want a takedown pistol caliber carbine.

The ORM stock is pretty basic. Enter Magpul, offering the functionality of the X-22 takedown stock but scaled up to the PC Carbine.

The handguard features M-LOK slots at the 3 & 9 o’clock positions and interchangeable cheek risers to accommodate various sighting options. The PC Backpacker stock also features an MOE SL rubber butt-pad offering an anti-slip surface that increases impact protection and is compatible with the MOE SL Enhanced Rubber Butt-Pad for an additional 3/8” LOP.

Using a unique locking interface that attaches the barrel assembly to the receiver, the PC Backpacker provides an efficient solution for storage during transportation while maintaining convenient assembly from the stowed position.

There are also two integrated storage locations. The first is a water-resistant grip storage compartment that provides an at-hand location for a small multi-tool, survival equipment, or cleaning equipment.

The second is a compartment in the riser section that’s ideal for a single pistol magazine, fitting up to the PMAG 21 GL9.

Modlite x Unity Tactical ModButton

We are happy to announce new product which was are calling ModButton which is a collaborative effort between Modlite and Unity Tactical.

ModButton is a integrated switch and mount that is compatible with Surefire, Arisaka and Modlite light bodies. With the help from out friends at Unity we have been able to design a switch with maintains backward compatibility with older legacy Surefire lights yet is able to deliver the power needed to run our next gen lights at full output.

ModButton is fully ambidextrous and also supports the Unity Tactical light wing which will allow shifting the light head forward of the switch.

ModButton is set to ship late next month and in the next couple of weeks an official release date will be announced.

Accessorize with Tasmanian Tiger Pouches

Three new pouches to customize your backpack, vest, or chest rigs for greater tactical performance on the job.

Miramar, Fla. (January 2020) – Tasmanian Tiger®, a tactical nylon line of products distributed exclusively for the US market by Proforce Equipment, Inc., offers three new tactical pouches for greater modularity and customization on vests, plate carriers, or backpacks: the TT EDC Pouch, TT TAC Pouch 11, and the TT Digi Radio Pouch.

The TT TAC Pouch 11 is designed to attach to vests, medic assault packs, or chest rigs with a MOLLE snap button system (requires four MOLLE loops). The large main compartment is accessed through a centered zipper opening and features a functional divider and internal variable fixation points to store medical equipment. Lightweight, compressible, and with elastic side parts for plate carriers, the TT TAC Pouch in five-liter volume size comes in Black, Olive, Coyote, and MultiCam. Tasmanian Tiger’s TT EDC Pouch is a tactical every-day-carry MOLLE pouch with a zipper closure for knives, multi-tools, and other smaller gear. The MOLLE hook and loop panels, additional loops, and four D-rings on the outside allow for the attachment of additional gear. Inside the main compartment are a flat insert pocket and elastic loops for securing gear and a large MOLLE hook and loop patch inside. There is a secret pocket under the hook and loop patch for sensitive documents and a transparent pocket for ID or important paperwork. The TT EDC Pouch is available in Black, Olive, Coyote, MultiCam and the new MultiCam Black for $39.95 (MultiCam and MultiCam Black are $44.95).

The third new Tasmanian Tiger pouch is the TT Digi Radio Pouch, a small, folding flap radio pouch that measures 6” x 3” (15 cm x 7 cm) for digital radio devices. The pouch can attach to a vest, carrier, or a pack with two MOLLE loops using a MOLLE reverse system. The pouch has an adjustable flap angle and a display protector, both made of vinyl. The pouch itself is made of durable CORDURA®. The TT Digi Radio Pouch comes in Black, Olive, Coyote, and MultiCam. MSRP is $24.95 (MultiCam $27.95).

Federal Introduces Hydra-Shok Deep in 380 Auto that Delivers the Industry’s Best Penetration Depths

ANOKA, Minnesota – January 14, 2020 – The newest addition to Federal’s Hydra-Shok Deep lineup is the industry’s first expanding 380 Auto to consistently meet FBI protocol recommendations for penetration (12 inches minimum) through bare gel and through heavy clothing.

This new product will be on display in Booth No. 14551 at the 2020 SHOT Show, January 21-24 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. New Federal Premium Hydra-Shok Deep 380 Auto is scheduled to ship in the Spring of 2020.

In the past three years, Federal Premium’s new Hydra-Shok Deep ammunition product line has been greatly recognized by its customers—and the industry—for its improved penetration and superior reliability. This has been most recently proven by it winning a 2019 NRA Golden Bullseye Award for “Ammo of the Year” by Shooting Illustrated magazine.

In response to the growing popularity of ultra-compact handguns by citizens of all ages, genders and demographics—particularly among shooters looking for a downsized yet effective defender— Federal Premium has expanded its award-wining Hydra-Shok Deep lineup with a new 99-grain 380 Auto load. This new offering is tailor-made for arming compact, concealed-carry “pocket pistols” or “micro guns” with an expanding, yet deepest-penetrating round. The new Hydra-Shok Deep 380 Auto even exceeds the FBI protocol performance measures of 12 inches minimum through both the bare gel and heavy clothing tests. These are achievements the industry has never seen before in the 380 Auto cartridge.

“FBI protocol incudes a series of rigorous scenarios. Bullets are shot through materials such as 10-percent ordinance gelatin, laminated automotive safety glass, plywood, wallboard and heavy clothing specified by the FBI,” said Federal Handgun Ammunition Product Manager Chris Laack. “While our larger caliber ammunition is designed to meet and exceed these requirements, the smaller 380 Auto is designed to offer the best possible blend of performance in a compact handgun platform.”

Testing done by Federal ammunition engineers in their Anoka, Minnesota facilities showed typical results of 13 to 13 ½ inches of penetration in bare gel and 13 ¼ to 14 inches through heavy clothing. Test gun barrel lengths were from common, compact handguns ranging from 2 ¾ to 3 ½ inches. The bullet and load are also fine-tuned to ensure delivery of consistent performance across all handgun platforms, including ones with longer barrels, to stay within that 13- to 14-inch goal range.

Hydra-Shok Deep has quickly become a favorite of those who rely on ammunition to protect themselves and their families. The product lineup now consists of four loads with the new 380 Auto 99-grain being the latest. Also available are 9mm Luger 135-grain, 40 S&W 165-grain and 45 Auto 210-grain. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices range from $25.95 to $33.95 from 20-count boxes.
