The SureFire M720V RAID WeaponLight is one of the systems chosen for USSOCOM’s VBL III contract.

It features variable white-light and infrared output from a single, LED head. A self-locking ring eliminates the danger of accidental light discharges. Modes are controlled via buttons and switches on the light’s chassis or via tape switch. Silynx SureFire KM2 Flashlight Head for C4Grip ADS Tactical

Tuesday, September 13th, 2011

We first introduced the innovative C4Grip from Silynx Communications right before SHOT Show. As you will recall, the C4Grip incorporates a built-in wireless PTT and controls to activate the light, laser aiming devices, and tactical radios. The only thing missing when the C4Grip was released was a production flashlight that was compatible with the device.

Now, Silynx has announced the release of a SureFire® KM2 Flashlight Head + Adaptor for the C4Grip. It attaches a standard KM2 flashlight head directly to the front of the C4Grip and it’s exactly the type of thing that can happen when you remote the power source from the actual device. The KM2 flashlight head can be activated (momentary, constant, and strobe) by the C4Grip. This combination transforms the light and switch into a much lighter, more compact, and ergonomic package.

The KM2 from SureFire is an LED light head normally used as a drop-in upgrade to older lights. It offers both white light and IR output from one dual-LED emitter assembly selectable by a positive lock bezel selector. Additionally, the KM2 utilizes a Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens that produces a comparatively tight beam suited for close- to medium-range applications.

Disaster Recovery Supplies and Equipment ADS Tactical

Saturday, August 27th, 2011

We were busy prepping the home office for Hurricane Irene and I remembered that ADS had a Disaster Response catalog. Based lessons learned from the Haiti and Japanese earthquake relief, ADS Inc has prepared a catalog to help planners and logistics personnel identify equipment and supplies for this latest crisis. Regardless if you source your equipment from ADS or elsewhere, it is an excellent reference tool.

Slider from TMS ADS

Friday, August 26th, 2011

The Slider is an innovative load carrying solution from Tactical Medical Solutions. While TMS specializes in medical gear, their personnel were 18D SF Medics. Consequently, they are no strangers to wearing body armor and the challenges of effectively using the available load carrying real estate on a vest.

The Slider attaches to the side of an armor vest and offers what is essentially a PALS panel that “slides” along a webbing track from rear to front. You store your extra kit in the rear and pull it forward when needed. It’s important to note that it will sit in front of your pouches so it isn’t necessarily something you are going to want to leave there depending on the mission. It was actually originally envisioned for 40mm grenades but works just as well for anything. Medical gear, extra magazines, etc.

Look for an updated video of the latest version of the Slider later this week.

The Slider as well as all TMS products are available for agency purchase from www.adsinc.com/tactical-medical-solutions.

Combat Ready Clamp ADS

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

Approximately 25% of potentially survivable deaths are due to uncontrolled bleeding at the joints, most of which is attributed to pelvic hemorrhage. The Combat Ready Clamp (CRoC) is a slip-proof expandable aluminum clamp tourniquet that works like a vise to maintain pressure on difficult bleeds when hemorrhage control in tactical environments is not possible with traditional methods and standard tourniquets.

The CRoC already has 510k clearance by the US FDA, and received a recommendation by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC).

The full line of Combat Medical Systems gear is available for agency purchase from ADS.
