Virtual Warfighter Expo – Otis Suppressor Cleaner and Reclaimer

During both SHOT Show and ADS Federal Range Day we’ve shown you the Otis Suppressor Cleaner and Reclaimer. However, we’ve received questions about how it works. Otis Technology demonstrated the device during the Virtual Warfighter Expo.

Offered in two sizes, theOSCR-1 has a basket for individual components which the larger OSCR-6 model does not. However, the OSCR-6 incorporates wheels and handles for movement, which makes sense as it is quote a bit larger. Regardless of size, the OSCR removed more than 90% of carbon, copper, and lead fouling from the suppressor’s baffles in as little as two hours.

Virtual Warfighter Expo – Beyond Launches A7 Fereday Jacket

Today, Beyond launched their new A7 Fereday Jacket at Virtual Warfighter. Designed to work with armor systems, it is manufactured from a DWR coated nylon ripstop shell over Climashield APEX Insulation. The bolo-style jacket is cut high in the front to allow access to chest mounted kit, with a long back to cover equipment at the rear and keep the back protected from the elements. The drawstring is accessible at the chest on either side to tighten the hem of the jacket around an armor carrier.

There is also an integrated hood as well as a 2-Way center front zipper. You’ll also find adjustable wrists, a rank loop chest patch along with bicep ID patches and Cordura reinforced elbows and a mapped Cordura liner for reinforcement. Finally, the whole thing can be stuffed into an internal chest pocket.

Virtual Warfighter Expo – BeaverFit Range Locker

BeaverFit showcased their Range Locker at Virtual Warfighter. Configured in ISO containers, these Range Lockers are easily transportable and integrate VTAC barriers and roof shooting platforms. There are even breaching doors so facilitate more realistic training scenarios. It can also be configured with Fast Rope Stations and Climbing walls. But one of the most interesting capabilities is the unstable shooting platform. Check it our in this video which covers all of the features.

I’ve attended several virtual events over the past few months and they’ve been difficult to navigate and poorly populated with content. This is neither. There’s loads of great products and services and the site is a snap to get around. What’s more, both ADS and brand representatives are available to chat.

High Ground Wins Next Gen ANG Helmet Cover

Ehmke Manufacturing Company, Inc., home of High Ground is pleased to announce that the Air National Guard (ANG), has awarded a contract to purchase High Ground’s newly designed “TANGO-SFS” helmet cover for their special operations and security forces units.

High Ground’s TANGO-SFS helmet cover is specifically developed for operators that require demanding performance criteria, functionality and Berry Compliance. High Ground’s technical staff and application engineers worked directly with the Air National Guard to evaluate, research and test downrange feedback that resulted in product enhancements and the incorporation of unique design elements in the ANG’s head borne protection systems.

“Our team of engineers working under the direction of Executive Vice President Michael Runella, were able to develop a helmet cover that exceeds the requirements to support the mission of our Air National Guard (ANG),” said High Ground President Glenn Aust. “Our mission at High Ground is and has always been to focus on what we can do to support our war fighters as they selflessly work each day to protect us and the interests of our country.”

“These advancements position High Ground as a major contributor to future head borne systems that will benefit the military. High Ground now offers a 100% Berry Compliant, made in the U.S.A., commercial off the shelf (COTS) product,” said Mike Runella, Executive Vice President.

“Mike Runella and his product development team did an excellent job of translating the Air National Guard’s performance criteria into a robust head borne systems product. The joint collaboration between the soldier and our technical team has resulted in a high-performing product for our front-line soldiers,” commented Ehmke CEO Bob Rosania. “I see this as just the first product we will develop with the help of the Air National Guard.

UF PRO Presents – The “Boo Boo” Bag

A “Boo Boo” bag is part of a medical kit reserved for minor cuts and blisters (headaches, too), the non-life-threatening stuff that’s inconvenient but nonetheless needs to be treated.

We’ve presented ready made versions in the past with many preferring to make their own. This video featuring former Special Forces Medic Luka, shows what he puts in his “Boo Boo” bag.

The T7 Over The Ear Headset from Invisio

Invisio’s new T7 over the ear headset features 3D ergonomic ear cushions, 28dB of SNR hearing protection and submersion to 10 meters, including hear-thru microphone drainage for immediate use after leaving the water.

The speaker system includes a waterproof speaker membrane that can withstand high water pressure, a breathable membrane that allows air to be released and a secondary membrane that allows the speaker membrane to operate by releasing audio pressure for high audio performance.

In addition to surviving the pressure of 10 meters underwater, the T7 is also operational at over 40,000 feet.

The hear-thru microphone resists wind noise and has been tested for use while transiting in a Rigid Inflatable Boat going 50 knots (90 kph).

The 3D ear cushions were designed after reviewing 1,000 MRI cranial scans to find the most common ear and head shape. There are also gel and standard ear cushions.

The T7 can be configured three ways for wear: traditional over the headband style, behind the head via the neckband and helmet mount.
