The Cairn Pro models from Bedrock Sandals will be getting a facelift for Spring 20.
They are replacing the Velcro backstrap with a new hook system which they say has undergone extensive testing with multiple guides and will stay secure.

CANSEC 19 – Millbrook Tactical To Introduce Two New Winter Boots From Lowa
Friday, May 31st, 2019Millbrook Tactical is Lowa Footwear’s number one Retailer in Canada and for good reason. Millbrook works with Lowa to provide special versions of their boots, specifically for the needs of Canada’s uniformed professionals.
This year, they are introducing two new Lowa Task Force models. Both are cold weather boots.
The first is the Elite Patrol GTX Thermo TF. This mountaineering-style boot features a full grain leather upper with a 4-layer Gore-Tex performance comfort liner and 400 gr Primaloft insulation. The sole is Single injection DURA PU monowrap (support frame) combined with the grippy-on-ice Vibram Arctic Grip sole.
The boots seen are prototypes, but the brown final boots will feature a brown rubber rand, rather than the black seen here. The final production boot will also incorporate closed hook lacing. I fully expect demand for these in the UK.
The second boot is the R-8 GTX Thermo TF. This is more of a duty boot with a full grain leather polishable toe.
Like the Elite Patrol, the R-8 features a 4-layer Gore-Tex performance comfort liner and 400 gr Primaloft insulation as well as the Vibram Mottarone Arctic Grip sole. The final boot will feature closed lacing hooks.

Rampart Range Day 19 – Salewa Mountain Trainer Lite Mid GTX

You’re getting a sneak peek of the Mountain Trainer Lite Mid GTX from Salewa which will be available next year.
It features a suede and fabric upper and uses the Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane which is becoming very popular with European footwear.
As you can see, it’s offered in a Black configuration. The sole is a proprietary design by Vibram specifically for this shoe.

Rampart Range Day 19 – Bates Footwear Introduces Canada Compliant Safety Combat Boot
Wednesday, May 29th, 2019Bates Footwear has introduced a Canadian Standards Association compliant safety boot in Tan color.
As you can see from the Green Triangle marking, the boot features sole puncture protection and a Grade 1 Protective toe which will sustain 125 Joules. The Omega symbol indicates it also provides electric shock resistance.
