TYR Tuesday – Combat Shirt

During SHOT Show, TYR Tactical showed me quite a few new products. We previewed this one at the SIG Range Day, but there are many more to debut during the coming weeks including a few I’ve never seen.

Huron™ Hot Weather Uniform Long Sleeve Combat Shirt

The Huron™ Hot Weather Uniform Long Sleeve Combat Shirt (HRN-HWU107-CS) was designed to be worn in both arid and humid climates. We incorporated a mix of hi-tech materials and fabric treatments to create a garment that moves moisture away from the body and dries quickly. It’s guaranteed to be the lightest most breathable combat shirt you have ever worn.

Design Features:
• Long Sleeve with Elbow reinforcements.
• Antimicrobial Polartec® Power Dry® polyester is double plaited to wick sweat away from your skin.
• Treated with No Fly Zone® Insect Repellent Technology. This treatment prevents the spread of insect borne diseases by repelling insects through fabrics which require no further processing.
• Treated with Moisture Control System (M.C.S.) technology which provides comfort and breathability. In essence, our M.C.S. finish makes high performance synthetics behave more like cotton in regards to breathability and comfort.

Swampbutt Underwear – That’s Seriously What They’re Called

“We designed this jacket to be a practical and functional style that could be worn almost everyday. It pairs great with your favorite pair of jeans, adventure pants, khakis, even shorts. We looked to our favorite vintage work wear styles to flight jackets from the 1960s and took some of those design cues to create the Solo. We wanted a style that made sense while behind the wheel of your overlanding rig, worn around the weekend cabin, to single prop bush plane or just everyday. The jacket needed to have all the pockets to load up on your EDC items, be comfortable, breathe, and possess a good balance of weight vs durability. Ft Bragg Warfighter Expo – Wild Things Low Loft Jacket in Jordanian KA2

Here’s something you don’t see everyday, a jacket in the Jordanian Army’s KA2 camouflage pattern, developed by Hyperstealth Biotechnology Corp. In this case, it’s Wild Things’ Low Loft Jacket which combines a 70D nylon shell with 2 oz PrimaLoft insulation. While you can’t get one of these in KA2, they are available in MultiCam as well as Coyote.
