SCHUBERTH Launches New Ballistic Head Protection System B.Ko.S. at EnforceTac 2022

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022

A modern combat helmet with a high level of user comfort and ballistic protection, that provides scalable levels of performance and modularity – this is the approach of the new B.Ko.S. concept (Ballistisches Kopfschutz System/ ballistic head protection system). An innovative rail design with open system architecture allows the integration of a multitude of devices, some even not yet fielded to enable a future-proof upgrading and capability expansion potential of the helmet. The design of the inner lining and retention system also requires a new approach. Including a wide range of sizes, coverage of a variety of head shapes and the use of a combined hearing protection/ communication solution. This is achieved without compromising soldier health and safety requirements while communication capabilities are guaranteed for a long time without interference.

Milad Youkhanna, Head of the Military and Law Enforcement Business Unit, describes the positioning of the B.Ko.S. concept as follows: “For decades, SCHUBERTH has been the reliable partner of the German Armed Forces for head protection solutions. The Swiss Armed Forces also rely on a ballistic helmet from our company to this day. In addition to a high-performance product, an efficient lifecycle management with extensive maintenance capacities are part of the sustainable offer of our company. The B.Ko.S. concept consistently pursues this philosophy and sets standards in terms of modularity, comfort and integration capability – without compromising protection.”

The B.Ko.S rail system with integrated SCHUBERTH universal clips is unique in the industry. It can be easily adapted to a large number of slots provided in all three rails and in the night vision shroud. Allowing the cable routing to be individually adapted in order to reliably supply power to systems to be procured in the future. It also significantly increases the options for helmet bungees or artificial camouflage elements. In the future, connections required by the user can thus be realized quickly and cost-effectively via the universal clip as part of the open system architecture. In addition to the side rails, the B.Ko.S concept has an additional rear rail. This can be utilized to accommodate battery packs to increase powersupply security, while at the same time ensuring an optimal balance of the helmet on the head.

The B.Ko.S. concept focuses on comfort as a significant contribution to broad user acceptance and satisfaction and the directly resulting protection. Finally, an above-average share of common parts across all sizes as well as optimized maintainability ensures low life cycle costs and reduced logistical effort.

According to CEO Dr. Christoph Klotzbach, helmets are always being reinvented at SCHUBERTH: “Innovation and technology as well as user feedback define our focus. This is appreciated just as much by the reigning Formula 1 world champion as by our motorbike customers. But know-how from the police, firefighting and work safety sectors also goes directly into each new helmet generation via valuable synergy effects. We have followed this holistic approach with the B.Ko.S. concept. As a result, we are very proud to present another high-tech product in the year of our centenary, which sets diverse impulses and significantly sets us apart from the market.

At the Enforcetac 2022 trade fair in Nuremberg (Stand 12 279), SCHUBERTH will be presenting the B.Ko.S. ballistic head protection system concept to the trade public for the first time from 1.3.2022 to 2.3.2022.

Enforce Tac Cancelled for 2021

Tuesday, December 1st, 2020

Following thorough consideration and in view of the difficult current situation, Enforce Tac, International Exhibition & Conference – Law Enforcement, Tactical Solutions and Homeland Security, will not be held on 10-11 March 2021 as originally planned.

By taking this decision now, NürnbergMesse hopes to give all visitors, exhibitors, partners and media the ability to plan reliably in this time of uncertainty and thus avoid the risk of having to cancel at short notice. Health policy measures currently being put in place internationally, including quarantine regulations and travel restrictions, in addition to the rapidly increasing number of infections in particular, are making it difficult for everyone involved to plan and prepare with any confidence.

“There was a surprising amount of support for holding Enforce Tac next March, with what seemed to be a record number of registrations and a lot of enthusiasm for finally being able to meet up again, especially after the event was cancelled this year,” observes Thomas Preutenborbeck, a member of the NürnbergMesse management board. “This industry needs personal, confidential and discreet interaction. Given the current conditions, however, any prospect of being able to hold the International Exhibition and Conference in physical form seems to be ruled out. But everyone totally understands.”

Plans for sector meeting in summer 2021

Exhibition Director Isabelle Teufert also regrets the cancellation: “It was a difficult decision for us in the Enforce Tac Team to make, especially since our exhibitors and partners indicated in recent months that they needed an Enforce Tac in 2021 and would stand by us.” To still provide the sector with a networking opportunity, however, there will be a small special edition in summer 2021. “We would like to use 2021 to offer our exhibitors an alternative programme to interact with other professionals,” says Teufert.

Full focus on Enforce Tac 2022 – now on new days

The next Enforce Tac will be held on 1-2 March 2022. That means it will take place on a Tuesday and Wednesday in 2022 instead of the usual Wednesday and Thursday.

NürnbergMesse Plans Closer Links Between “Unmanned Technologies” Segment and Other Trade Fairs Beginning in 2021

Thursday, June 11th, 2020

Closer links between trade fairs in the security segment in future

NürnbergMesse plans to establish closer links between its “unmanned technologies” segment and other trade fairs as of 2021. Instead of being exclusive to Enforce Tac, as it has been until now, U.T.SEC will in future also be able to present itself as a corresponding platform at other relevant events. This will give the highly topical drone technology segment a greater reach.

Since 2018, U.T.SEC has been taking place concurrently with Enforce Tac. Increasingly, its focus has been on the use and neutralisation of drones by official security agencies and organisations.

Drone technology becoming a megatrend

In recent years, drone technology has become an important cutting-edge issue not just for users in the sensitive security segment but also for other target groups. This is why the event is evolving, as it moves away from its origins as a summit to become an integral part of Enforce Tac. In future, it will also showcase the diverse applications for drone technology to a greater extent at other NürnbergMesse Group events, for example at Perimeter Protection, the trade fair for the monitoring and protection of industrial and commercial outdoor sites and facilities, critical infrastructure and major events.

This will allow manufacturers to reach a larger and more diverse range of target groups and offer them more opportunities to present their technologies. In the process we will also be offering potential users more targeted insights into the uses of unmanned technologies.

Enforce Tac and U.T.SEC Cancelled for 2020

Thursday, April 30th, 2020

Against the background of the ongoing corona pandemic and its global repercussions, NürnbergMesse has now also decided not to hold Enforce Tac and U.T.SEC in September 2020. The industry is facing hitherto unknown challenges, including declining sales and production stops, as a result of public health measures and the associated economic situation. At the same time, trade fair participants in many places are finding it difficult to plan and prepare their involvement in events due to business activity being curtailed by official order as well as international travel restrictions.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many representatives of the sector for the frank and constructive discussions we have had with them in recent days. These exchanges were very helpful to us in making our decision. Our objective with Enforce Tac and U.T.SEC, like all our other events, is to create a special experience for exhibitors and visitors that helps them to establish and develop business relationships in a number of different ways. Unfortunately, the impact of the corona crisis means that we cannot do this to our usual high quality standard,” says Thomas Preutenborbeck from the NürnbergMesse management board.

Save the date: Enforce Tac and U.T.SEC in March 2021

The next Enforce Tac and U.T.SEC will take place from 10 to 11 March 2021, marking a return to the event’s usual springtime schedule in the run- up to the IWA OutdoorClassics. “This also accommodates the preferences of many exhibitors and visitors and will allow the synergies of these three high-calibre trade fairs to be exploited once again. After this crisis is over, the need for information and dialogue will be greater than ever,” says Frank Venjakob, Exhibition Director Enforce Tac and U.T.SEC. “This is why we are now looking to the future and setting the course for next year.”

New September Dates For Enforce Tac & IWA

Monday, March 2nd, 2020

We just received this message from the hosts of Enforce Tac and IWA:

In view of the increasing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and taking into account the principles for risk assessment of major events adopted by the crisis management group of the German government and the current recommendation of the Bavarian State Government for international exhibitions, NürnbergMesse has decided to postpone.

Enforce Tac / U.T.SEC 2020 to Tuesday, September 1 and Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

For the planning reliability of all exhibitors, visitors, partners and media: Enforce Tac / U.T.SEC will continue to take place in the period at the beginning of September in the following years, and no longer in the previous period at the beginning / middle of March.

IWA OutdoorClassics 2020 will take place from Thursday, 3 September until Sunday, 6 September 2020.

The protection of the health and safety of exhibitors, visitors and employees is a top priority for NürnbergMesse. In awareness of this responsibility and after careful consideration and evaluation of the current situation, the Management Board of NürnbergMesse has decided on this necessary protective measure.

Petra Wolf, Member of the Management Board of NürnbergMesse: “We expressly thank all customers, partners and media representatives for the understanding they have shown regarding our decision to postpone Enforce Tac / U.T.SEC 2020. We are pleased about the high level of commitment in the industry – after intensive deliberations and numerous positive discussions with national and international customers, we have chosen the new date at the beginning of September also for the following years“.
